The Heliopan 55mm Close-Up +3 Lens is a convex diopter designed to decrease the minimum focus distance of any lens in order to produce a shorter working distance for close-up photography. Available in varying strengths, close-up lenses also feature 55mm front filter threads for combining two or more filters to fine-tune results.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Brass filter ring helps to prevent jamming and provides additional strength.

Dual threading with 55mm front filter threads permits combining with other filters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will buying two of these work for my Yashica Mat 124G? I want to be sure I get proper parallax correction.

A: You will have issues using this with that type of camera. It will be almost impossible to focus and to line up the image in the frame.

Q: 2. This will solve the field curvature of the CV 35 mm 1.7 on mirrorless cameras?

A: We are not sure of what lens you are asking about. Maybe the Voigtlander Ultron 35mm f/1.7 Aspherical Lens (Black) B&H # VO3517K? Also we are unaware of a close up lens ameliorating lens aberrations. Indeed we only know of them introducing them. In order that we may further assist you, please write us sales@bhphoto.com.

Q: 3. Does this come with a viewing filter for the TLR?

A: This is only one filter.

Q: 4. does this filter fit tamron 60mm lens?

A: No, the Tamron SP 60mm f/2 Di II 1:1 Macro Lens uses a 55mm filter. You can use the Heliopan 55mm Close-Up +3 Lens.

Q: 5. What lens could I use this macro lens kit filter with? I have a Nikon 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, and a Tampon 35mm 1.4 lens. Would this macro lens kit fit any of these lenses listed above?

A: All three of the mentioned lenses have a different filter size, so this Vivitar 55mm Close up Macro Lens Kit would not fit directly on them.

Q: 6. What is ES 77 No.3?

A: This is the strongest option for close-up shooting. This filter is essentially a very high quality diopter that allows a lens to focus closer then it would normally focus. A close-up filter is an alternative to using a focus tube which would also accomplish the same goal but with a bit more light loss.

Q: 7. Can I use these filters on both a digital and a film 35mm?

A: Yes Hoya 55mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II (+1, +2, and +4) is compatible with film and digital cameras that accept 55mm filters.

Q: 8. How better is it to compare to Vivitar Close Up filters? What minimum focus distance would be for Nikon 40mm (if it has 0.29mm without any filter) Thank you!

A: It is a matter of optics. Nikon is noted for optics. And it will be better than other brands. These are also other good models, https://bhpho.to/3CkkJES

Q: 9. Is Heliopan Digital ES 77.no3 macro?

A: It works similar to macro in that it allows you to get closer to a subject, lessening the minimum focus distance.

Q: 10. what does bay 6 or 60 mean?

A: Bay is short for bayonet. Heliopan makes these bay filters specifically for Hasselblad and Rollei lenses.
