This 28mm f/6.4 prime lens is designed for APS-C-format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, and provides a 42mm equivalent focal length.

A dedicated soft focus lens, this optic employs spherical aberration in order to produce a glowing, soft image quality while retaining focus. The amount of softness can be controlled by varying the aperture setting as well as balancing the depth of field to subject/focus distance ratio.

Measuring just over 1" in length, this slim lens has a pancake profile that makes it ideal for creative travel or everyday shooting.

No electrical contacts are featured in the mount design, and this lens requires manual focus and exposure control.

A: The only a300 camera I'm aware of is a DSLR and if that is the case then this lens cannot fit on it as it is an E mount lens.

A: No. And this is not the lens you would want for an A 6000. Quick Lesson. Steady Shot or image stabilization (IS) is a feature added to a camera, either in the body (In Body Image Stabilization (IBIS)) or in the lens itself. The A 6000 does not have IBIS so you have to rely on purchasing lenses that do have it. For example, my favorite for my NEX 7 is the F 4 16-70 zoom that does have IS. (Note, the different manufacturers call image stabilization by different names. VR is Nikon. OSS is Sony, etc. If you want a pretty high quality prime with OSS made for the A6000 then the Sony F 1.8 50 mm OSS is the lens you want. Or wait til Sony comes out with an APS C camera that has IBIS ---

A: This makes very little noise when focusing. It may be picked by the microphone or heard in a silent room, but it is very close to being silent.

Great value. Lens is small, light, focuses fast and silently. Overall images are sharp with good contrast even wide open. Lens has crazy distortion but is either corrected in camera if your shooting jpegs or can be fixed in post with lens profile corrections. Couldn't be happier with what you get for the money with this lens 5

Circular fisheyes are a usually a mixed bag, but this one is surprisingly nice. It's very sharp at the center and actually reasonably sharp in at the edges of the circle too. That isn't something that I can say about many others especially not at this price. Although it's not too hard to focus (using magnification), it's safe to scale focus unless your subject is fairly close. The lens is well built with firm clicks at full stops on the aperture ring. It is surprisingly small and lightweight. The best part, though, is that it produces a nicely centered, fully circular image, without the tops or bottoms getting cropped off. There are two slight negatives, though. The focus ring isn't dampened much at all, so it is easy to inadvertently change the focus distance. Also, the unique lens cap fits a bit loosely. I nearly lost mine on the first day out with the lens. Otherwise I'm very happy using this lens with my Nex 7. 5

I haven't put it through it's paces entirely yet, but it seems to do as well or better than my Nikon 28mm 1.8G on my D810. Very nice build quality, and fast AF on A7rii even in dark conditions. manually focuses well. I'm not a pixel peeper, but quality seems excellent when viewed 100% on my 13 retina MBP. I haven't plugged into my NEC monitor yet. 5

This lens is a GEM! Being under $ and being such a good lens, it should be the first e-mount purchase for all alpha camera users (if willing to deal with it's slightly large size).Bought this to use for a wedding. Worked really well on my a6000. Good focal length for aps-c sensor, and will go nicely on a FF a7 as soon as I aquire one. Having the ability to use a wide angle converter is a huge plus and will reduce chances of getting dust on the sensor when going wider.If planning to stay aps-c I think the sigma 30mm would be a good choice(based off the 60mm I have), plus this is quite big in comparison to the mentioned sigma. Yet it still is descrete enough because the a6000 is fairly small.Conclusion is buy it, even if you plan to stay aps-c this works fantastic and looks much better on my a6000 than any of the sigmas. 5

i use it for my night photography,very small and lightweight,and very good optic for that price range! like others have said there is a fair level of distortion to deal with but it is corrected automatically in camera if you shoot jpegs,and in lightroom/camera raw if you shoot raw wish it was weather sealed but for that price cannot ask for so much:) 5
