The 10' XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug from Kopul is a studio-quality cable that can be used for converting a mono-microphone or a line-level signal to a 3.5mm stereo signal for devices such as camcorders, DSLR cameras, recorders, and more. It can be utilized with dynamic mics and self-powered XLR condenser microphones.

The XRSM cable is engineered to provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise, offering a gold-plated 3.5mm (1/8") right-angle stereo mini-plug connector with molded strain relief, as well as a 3-pin XLR-F connector with a chuck-style strain relief by REAN. The XRSM cable is built with 24-gauge OFC (oxygen-free copper) conductors, spiral shielding, and has PE insulation, which produces a quiet cable with good conductivity ensuring a clean transfer of the audio signals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this cord work if running from a dynamic mic into the lav input of the wireless go?

A: You can do that. But the more common solution for that would be the Rode Interview Go which adapts the Rode Wireless Go transmitter for handheld use and it is more inexpensive than a lot of handheld mics as well. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1548069-REG/rode_interviewgo_interview_go_handheld.html

Q: 2. Will this cable connect my Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro to Canon C70?

A: No, the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable is not compatible for connection to the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera which has a 3.5mm input as well as two TA3 3-pin mini-XLR inputs. The Kopul XRSM Cable has a standard size female XLR connector and you would need a mini-XLR male connector to connect the mic to the camera's mini-XLR input. You can use the Kondor Blue Mini-XLR Male to 3.5mm Stereo Mini Cable -12" (B&H # KOTRS35FBM) to connect the Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone to the camera's mini-XLR input.

Q: 3. Can this be used with a Zoom H1 with XLR out of a speaker?

A: You can use this cable to connect the XLR mix out of a powered speaker to the line in of an H1n. Please note, the level coming out of the speaker could be much hotter than the H1n line in is expecting. You will want to watch your levels on the H1n to avoid peaking.

Q: 4. I assume the device at the 1/8 end is NOT sending phantom power. So does the mic still work? With how much dB loss? Wikipedia says phantom power raises the threshold where distortion starts, ... so won't loss of phantom power make the mic more sensitive so it distorts more quickly?

A: I tried to run the XLR end from my pre-amp (with a real vocal mic plugged into it) into my computer -- and naturally it didn't work. I'm sure I'd need some sort of in-between adaptor. But I never returned the cord. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Q: 5. I am planning to buy Sony ECM -77B. What is the difference between Kopul LMT100 cable this cable. LMT100 even cost more with less length. Can i use Kopul XRSM 3-pin female to 3.5 mm with the Sony Lav mic into DSLR/Field recorder? Then why Kopul LMT100 used for?

A: The Kopul LMT100 has a small matching transformer incorporated into the XLR connector to match the impedance in ohms between the two devices ( microphone to DSLR ). This will guarantee that your audio is on both tip and ring or left and right channels when connected to your DSLR. That is why it cost more than a regular Mic XLR to 3.5 mm.The regular XLR to 3.5 mm doesnt have this transformer which might work, but there is no guarantee because you dont know how your DSLR circuit is designed. So, my advice to you is to go with the Kopul LMT100 even though it is more expensive and shorter.Best Wishes,Ron

Q: 6. with this cord will i be able to connect an SM-58 to my Rode Wireless Go using the lav input?

A: The microphone input on the Rode Wireless Go transmitter works just like a microphone input that provides mic plugin power, that you would find on many DSLR cameras or camcorders. In light of this, you would be able to connect a Shure SM58 using this cable going into the mic input on the transmitter for the Rode Wireless Go. This is not a very common solution, seeing as how Rode offers the Rode Interviewer Go adapter, which converts the Rode Wireless Go transmitter into a handheld mic capsule and this adapter is more inexpensive than many handheld XLR connection mics like the Shure SM58. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1548069-REG/rode_interviewgo_interview_go_handheld.html

Q: 7. can this be used with microphones requiring plug in power? Not 48v phantom, but 1-3v?

A: This cable is intended to be used with dynamic mics and self-powered (battery) condenser mics.

Q: 8. Does this send the same signal to both left and right inputs on the camera?

A: Yes. The Kopul XRSM-10B will send a signal from a 3-pin XLR to the left and right channels of a camera. Be mindful of the differences between line and mic, as a line signal will overload a mic input and cause distortion.

Q: 9. Can I use a SM58 into my DSLR with this?

A: Yes as long as your camera has a 3.5mm mic input.

Q: 10. Can I use this to my Dji Mic 2 and my Zoom H4N Pro?

A: No, the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable will not connect the receiver output of the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System to the input of the Zoom H4n Pro 4-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder. The XLR connector on the XRSM has the wrong gender for this application. A recommended cable to perform this function is the Hosa Technology Pro Stereo Breakout Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Mini to Dual 3-Pin XLR Male (BH #HOHMX003Y).

I really appreciate the functional description of this item. All the other vendors that I looked at only listed the connectors at each end of the cable. For this cable that is not the full story. So thanks B&H for making things easy.

I have two XLR microphones and I wanted them to have their own cord to go into my Sony ZV E10 camera just in case I wanted to switch up microphones plus it's alway good to have extras just in case. As a baby content creator I trust B&H to supply all my accessories and products needs.

Works as promised, no audio issues. Also avoids any issues with XLR crosstown to stereo feed into my camera (D4s), which has been an issue in the past with other adapters I've tried. For the reasonable price it is excellent - they do offer a wider gauge series of cables for those who want a bit more ruggedness, I'd probably buy the wider gauge next time, since I'll be using this a lot, but for now I am completely pleased with this cable adapter..
