The black Pelican 1510TP Carry-On Case with Trekpak Divider System is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant, and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of an ultra-high-impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" neoprene O-ring and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. It has a hinged case with double ABS latches that seal perfectly, and padlock protectors that provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.

The 1510TP comes with long side handles, a long front handle, a retractable extension handle, and strong polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings. It has an effortless release latch for the extension handle. The case meets current FAA requirements for carry-on luggage.

Besides being lighter than traditional padded dividers, the TrekPak Divider System uses pre-installed wall sections, divider panels, locking pins, and an easy-to-use cutting tool. Simply lay your gear in the case, measure and cut the divider sections, and lock them in place with the steel U-pins. Extra divider material is included for occasions where your equipment requirements vary. The 7/16" thick divider sections are made of waterproof, closed-cell foam that is laminated to a rigid, corrugated plastic panel that resists tearing and shredding. The TrekPak is combined with a 1" bottom foam and lid foam to give your gear 360-degree protection.

Q: 1. Would it be ok to have the camera and lenses checked in with this case for international travel?

A: As a general rule, check nothing of value. Ever. A locked Pelican screams open me and steal stuff . Check your clothes. Carry your gear. Take cool pictures.

A: Absolutely. At approx. 5.9 x 7.2 x 7.2 / 149 x 183 x 183 mm (without grip)7.5 x 7.2 x 7.4 / 19.1 x 18.3 x 18.8 cm (with grip, the Pelican case provides for a custom fit due to the perforated/removable foam spacers. In fact, there should be plenty of room for the camera, battery, charging cord, and a few lenses as well.

Q: 3. Plan on fitting One to two bodies, A 70-200 F/2.8, 50mm F/1.8, 17-24 F/2.8, 24-70 F/2.8, two AD200's and two Magmod speedlite kits. Any idea if all can fit in this?

A: You should be able to fit all of that in to this case

Q: 4. Does the foam shred to produce foam particles that get all over the equipment?

A: Not in my experience. I have been using this case for about a year to carry around my underwater photography equipment, and everything fits in there pretty snug so there's a lot of contact between the equipment and the foam. I have never noticed any shredding or small particles of the foam falling off, and I have never even once had any of it stuck to my gear, not even when I put something away slightly wet. The foam is pretty easy to customize and seems very durable!

Q: 5. The images show two DSLR bodies standing up inside, can it fit pro DSLRs with vertical grips? Or just the bodies without grips?

A: The interior is 7.6 high. That will accommodate DLSR's sitting on their battery grips like the ones seen here.

A: it's not gonna fit, but nice to have one,your gear always secure everytime, traveling, perfect for carry on , buy two !

Q: 8. Is it mainly intended as a carry-on or would this be durable enough to pack equipment in that will be checked on as well such as mono heads?

A: Terri I purchased this case about four years ago and I have flown with it with many airlines. I generally use it to put it overhead in the airplane but it is so secure that I would be confident to checking it in. The foam really packs it tight so nothing is moving around. You will actually custom cut it out for your own equipment so it will be a perfect fit. Hope this helps

Q: 9. Can a shoulder strap be attached to the case? I don't see any eyelets or loops...A

A: This case would be extremely uncomfortable to have on your back. When loaded it's very heavy and there's no padding on the exterior. You should look at more of a backpack case if you want to have it on your shoulder.
