Q: 8. Is this compatible with the kodak color plus 100 ?

Q: 9. When is the best before date?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general, we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately, we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 10. Is this film fairly good for portrait or for general people shots?

A: Yes, this film would be very good for general photography and people.

I live in a centrally located area in the California Delta between two major hubs: San Francisco and Sacramento. Still, I can't always find the specific types of film that I love shooting with, one of which is Kodak GOLD 200 Color Negative Film. Vivid color saturation and grain-free images are the hallmarks of this film choice. It is frustrating when I can't find the right films for a specific shoot, as a dedicated film photographer. With great joy, however, I find all my film needs at B&H Photo in well-stocked inventories. B&H is now my primary source for all my film purchases.

While 120 is definitely the superior version of this stock, it looks great in 135 as well. This film somehow switches on the nostalgia button in my brain, even for rolls I've just shot.

Great cheap color option. The color is nice, obviously could be better but for the price it’s great.

I'm amazed as to how difficult it is to find 35mm film these days.

If you are looking for a color-negative film stock in the price range of 9 bucks a roll (still crazy that that is the price now) this is the best option in my opinion. ColorPlus is fine, but kinda has wonky colors for me at least. UltraMax is good if you just want Kodak Gold, but faster, but in the 200 speed range this stuff is the king. (Or the new Fuji 200 which is just relabeled kodak gold, get whatever is in stock)

Needless to say, one of the most classic film rolls on the market. Great for beginners.
