I've purchased a few cold shoes that bend and break fairly easily but this model's design makes it the best I've encountered. When attached, the head of the small screw sits below the actual shoe and it's a snug and secure fit. The shoe has good purchase with the camera body so any item you mount will stay in place. It's just one of those dozens of little items every videographer or photographer must have in their bag to get through a shoot. This may be the best one of the bunch. 5

Such a simple tool, but very important. I replaced an older cold shoe adapter with this one because the other one just would not lock down tight. This one is perfect. Very secure and didn't require cranking on the screw to get it that way. Good, simple piece of kit. 5
