The SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver from Lectrosonics consist of two separate receivers built into a single, ultra-compact housing with adapters for video-camera-receiver slots and for stand-alone use. They can be used when paired with a transmitter & microphone (sold separately) in various environments for ENG (Electronic News Gathering), EFP (Electronic Field Productions) and other audio applications.

Each receiver features Digital Hybrid Wireless technology that provides compandor-free audio quality and compatibility with other wireless systems. The RF performance is stable over a wide temperature range, making the receiver perfectly suited in rough environmental conditions.

The front panel has a menu-driven LCD interface and four membrane switches which are used to view and alter settings. In addition, the LCD window displays the pilot-tone indicator, diversity activity, RF level, audio level, and transmitter battery status for both receivers.

Furthermore, a built-in spectrum analyzer scans across the tuning range of the receiver and displays a histogram of RF activity across the band. Areas of RF activity are easily recognizable. The two internal receivers can be operated separately and both have switching, antenna-combining diversity, or in tandem with ratio-diversity reception.

Finally, a variety of output adapters and mounting options are available for camera-slot operation. The receivers are powered from an external 7 to 18 VDC source.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this run off of 9V battery power?

A: You would need SR9VBP to be able to run this on a 9V battery. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/663969-REG/Lectrosonics_SR9VBP_SR9VBP_9_Volt_Battery.html

Q: 2. What is the power input? What kind of cable could I use to go from an NP-1 or BDS into the SRc?

A: The receiver accepts from 6-18V d.c. @1.4W, so it is compatible with most any battery or DC supply system. The connector is an LZR threaded locking plug. Our PS200 cable goes from a Hirose to LZR so that might help. (You didn't state what type of connector is at the supply side). Also - and very important: you must order with the receiver a bottom plate that is suitable to your application. If the receiver is not being used in a camera the most commonly used plate is the SREXT. This gives you both audio channels out on TA3 connectors and the LZR power input port.

Q: 3. Is this receiver compatible with the Lectrosonics WM transmitter?

A: Yes. Just select the band that covers the block that the WM is in. A1 covers blocks 470, 19, and 20. B1 covers blocks 21, 22, and 23. C1 covers blocks 24,25, and 26.

Q: 4. Does this come with a hard case? Does it come with a case? Is there a hard case for this and ideally a pair of transmitters?

A: No, a hard case is not included with the Shure ADX5D Axient Digital Dual-Channel Slot-Mount Wireless Receiver (470 to 636 MHz), As options for a hard case, the Pelican 1150 Case without Foam - Black (B&H # PE1150B), the Pelican 1150 Case with Foam - Black (B&H # PE1150FB), the Pelican 1120 Case without Foam - Black (B&H # PE1120B), or the Pelican 1120 Case with Foam - Black (B&H # PE1120FB) could work. For compatible transmitters, the Shure AD and ADX Series Transmitters can be used. A few of the options for handheld transmitters include the Shure ADX2/SM58 Digital Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule - G57: 470 to 616 MHz (B&H # SHADX2SM58G5) and the Shure ADX2/B58 Digital Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with Beta 58A Capsule - G57: 470 to 616 MHz (B&H # SHADX2B5857). The Shure ADX1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter with TA4M - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1G57), the Shure ADX1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter with LEMO3 - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1LM3G57), and the Shure ADX1M Digital Micro Bodypack Wireless Transmitter - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1MG57) are options for compatible bodypack transmitters.

Q: 5. Is there an adapter for lectrosonics compatible (TA5F) lavs, or would I need to get new lavs for this?

A: Although we have seen custom adapters to convert TA5F to 3-Pin Lemo, we recommend using lavaliers with dedicated wiring for the Lectrosonics SSM Digital Hybrid Wireless Miniature Transmitter. B&H does not offer adapters of this nature at this time.

Q: 6. What antennas (shark fins) are compatible for this? Especially if I used the new lectrosonics digital transmitters?

A: The Lectrosonics ALP500 LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna for Fixed Indoor Installation (B&H # LEALP500) is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. The Lectrosonics ALP620 Perforated LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna (B&H # LEALP620) is for fixed installation indoors and outdoors, and it is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. As another option, the RF Venue Diversity Fin Antenna with Stand Mount for Wireless Microphone Systems (B&H # RFDFIN) is compatible with all brands of wireless microphone and IEM systems.

Q: 7. Would this connect with my old UM200C Transmitter?

A: Depending on the transmitter type, protocol and frequency, suggest calling Lectrosonics ph: +1 505 892-4501 See below for compatibility: DCR822 - Compact Digital Receiver Continuously tunable tracking filters covering 470.100 - 614.375 MHz Compatible with D2, Duet and Digital Hybrid Wireless® transmitters Lectrosonics DCR822 System Wireless Transmission Digital UHF Diversity True Diversity RF Frequency Band 470.1 to 614.375 MHz https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1597459-REG/lectrosonics_dcr822_compact_dual_channel_digital.html/accessories

Q: 8. Will you be able to both record onto the onboard micro SD card, while transmitting the audio to a receiver at the same time?

A: The Lectrosonics DBSMD will transmit OR record. Not both at the same time.

Q: 9. I need to replace my antennas, where can I find just those two parts?

A: You can use the Lectrosonics AMJKIT Whip Antenna for UM and SM Beltpacks, SR Receivers (B&H # LEAMJKIT) to replace the antennas for the Lectrosonics SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver. The kit includes cutting template and color caps. You will need two of the antennas.

Q: 10. is this compatible with Zoom F8N?

A: This wireless receiver can be connected to an input of the Zoom F8N digital recorder, but it does require to be paired with the L Series LT Bodypack Wireless Transmitter (A1: 470 to 537 MHz), BH #LELTA1.

While everyone is going with the Sennheiser, I decided to go for the Sony due to its price and dual channel capability.

The connectivity is quick with each transmitter, and you can pretty much set it and forget it for all your future shoots. The signal and sound quality is also superb. I used it for many professional sound jobs. With good lavs and mic techniques, you won't need to spend thousands on a good wireless system.

It is getting to be harder to find 2 or 4 clear channels depending on where you are. The all band receiver saves me a lot of time searching for clear channels across all 3 bands. The second channel works like the URX-P03D while making the Transmitter programming much easier.
