The DIGITAL FORECAST Bridge1000 SH HD-SDI to HDMI Converter can be used for converting an HD-SDI signal of SMPTE standards into a HDMI signal. It can support formats up to 1080p60 and supports 1 re-clocking out.

A: The Z CAM HDMI to SDI Converter is an HDMI to SDI converter, and is intended to take the HDMI output from Z Cams and convert it to an SDI 3-G format. If you want to record 12-Bit ProRes RAW from your Z Cam we recommend using your camera's HDMI output to send a feed to the Atomos Ninja V.

Q: 2. How does this mount? It's difficult to tell with only one product photo.

A: It would slide into the battery slot on the rear, and you would than have the option to power via DC

Q: 3. Is available in 80km

A: This unit is rated for 6 miles / 9.6 km. Since 80km is almost 50 miles, this is not your answer.

Q: 4. Does the power in, power the unit and the camera if it mounts to the battery sled?

A: No it can not. however you can use the DC out on this converter to feed power into the camera via an additional power cable.

Q: 5. How many frames of delay is there to the output of the SDI? I'm interested to see if this camera would work in a live production environment for IMAG.

A: The Z CAM E2 cameras have several frames of latency on the output that would unfortunately also pass to the Z CAM HDMI to SDI Converter.

Q: 6. Does this unit pass metadata (timecode, record flag) to the output SDI stream?

A: We're afraid not. Metadata is not supported with this product.

Q: 7. Can this unit output all 8 at once from one input? For exmaple if I have an HDMI source, can it output 4x SDI and 4x HDMI?

A: Yes, all of the Lilliput 2 x 8 SDI/HDMI Splitter and Converters' outputs would be active and live.

Q: 8. Can I use this as generic HDMI to SDI converter with HDMI Loop out?

A: Yes, the Z CAM HDMI to SDI Converter can function as a generic HDMI to SDI converter with an HDMI loop out when powered through the barrel connector.

Q: 9. Does the Digital Forcast Bridge M_SH Mini SDI to HDMI Converter support SMPTE Level A & Level B?

A: Yes, this is SMPTE-424M which should be both Level A and B-DL.

Q: 10. Does the SDI port support 4k?

So far so good, been stress testing it for a few days straight and its working with whatever PC signal i through at it. It passes exact signal with out converting/scaling signal which i'm VERY happy with. I'm currently using 1080p29/30/60 with no issued as well as 1080i. I will be conducting 4k tests once I get my screen in. 5

We use BlackMagic Pocket Cine 4k cameras and needed a way to send video over a 15-50 sdi cable to a BlackMagic Multiview 4k for a directors monitor.... BMD-PCC4k only has HDMI out. These are small enough that we usually just velcro them to a tripod leg with a small lanyard as a safety cable. Currently power them with a GoalZero Yeti150 but I think a good 12volt v-mount battery would work for a while. 5

We have 2 of this blackmagic hdmi to sdi converter box and needed another one to use it in a bigger place so we bought one more to connect our sony camera from hdmi to sdi cable and almost 200 feet away and it worked great. If any problem just check the configuration to force it to hd or auto. 5
