I just got this about 2 days ago and with this camera, being my first actually good camera, i think im going to pursue vlogging! I used this camera for a day just playing around with it and it seems to be really good, there are so many little cool things about this camera and even though I cannot point out the flaws to this camera because I've never really had something this good and high quality, but, I have seen some reviews and I can say that not many people disliked this product, and if they did it was a minimal detail that had to do it with it being similar to the first G7X. I personally love the flip up screen it was a big reason I wanted it/ got it because vlogging can be easier since I get to see what the camera is actually seeing. I also love the grip, it does make holding it so much easier. It has a good weight to it so it's not super heavy or super light, even though it would be good if it was light. My final thoughts, I recommend getting this camera if you can afford the crazy price, because I do believe that in the end, it is worth it.

I bought this camera in April 2018 along with the Canon underwater case designed to fit. I've taken loads of great pictures, including many great underwater pictures while on vacation. I get lots of compliments on my pictures. :-)

long time Nikon DSLR user wanting a more capable camera than the small sensor pocket cameras I have been using for travel. Picked one of these up recently and am blown away with the image quality and features for how tiny it is. The touch screen features works great as well. Nice handling camera. Heading to Australia in a few days, and it will be going on the trip with me.

I love it! Picture quality is great. And I love taking videos with it! I’m no expert but it’s a fun camera to experiment with. Small and easy to take with you. I also love the flip viewer. Comes in handy!

The Canon Powershot G7X Mark II is a great camera for people who want to take great pictures and great videos. This is a great camera for beginner bloggers on YouTube as well! I recommend getting the free accessory pack with it for the extra battery, SD card, and case!

I bought this camera on preorder from B&H from hearing how amazing the predecessor was to this camera. After using it and beating the hell through it for the past few weeks, I am still impressed about everything about it. Great quality photos, great quality videos and great build quality. It feels sturdy in my hands. The battery lasts very long with using it normally. I was able to get a good 4-5 hours of various photos and videos shot in before the battery gave me a low warning so it definitely could have gone even longer. Which there was a port for an external microphone because this one is very attracted to wind noise, but other than that, very solid camera and would recommend to anyone who has a higher budget but still wants the practicality of a point and shoot camera.

I purchased this camera for my wife to use when we travel. She enjoys taking photos of her own, but does not like to use any of my DSLR's because of their size and weight. She wanted something that was small enough to fit in her pocket or a small purse and would take decent photos outdoors and in dim light. This camera does that. She uses it on Auto and has been satisfied with the results so far. IMHO, using this camera on Auto is a shame because, even with its small size, it has a great many useful features available that can enhance your ability to capture good images in difficult conditions.
The lens has a very useful zoom range and f-stop but the images are not quite as sharp as I thought they might be considering it has a 1" sensor. Even so, they are certainly good enough for her use.
The camera came with an extra Canon battery. Even though other reviews say it doesn't have a long life, she has not had to swap batteries when using the camera. I guess she just doesn't take enough photos (if I want her to know I said that, I will tell her). FWIW: I have always used Nikon gear but could not find a Nikon equivalent to this camera. Kudos to Canon for making a compact camera that perfectly fits her needs.

After long hours researching and figuring out what would be the best point and shoot to get, the G7Xii proves the true winner. At $599
I got everything I could ask for in this segment. The contender was the Rx100 but it is literally double the price and the extras although appealing, are just not needed for a point and shoot. With the G7Xii I get a faster lens (1.8) and same resolution as the Rx100 at half the price.
