Q: 1. Can you switch to diff lenses?

A: No.

Q: 2. How good is the digital zoom on this camera? Can you push the lens to 125mm and get decent results?

A: Compared to the optical zoom, you will notice the degradation in image quality and a bump in noise. If it's usable or not is more subjective, but I think it's more than decent especially in good light.

Q: 3. Has anyone had dust issues on the sensor or in the lens that has effected the image(s) ?

A: Unfortunately, point and shoot cameras will always be harder to get dust spots off of if it gets on the sensor, but they are a relatively well sealed unit so it all depends on your use and in what conditions it is primarily shot in.

Q: 4. Can you use a shutter release on this camera

A: I see some ports that you could you but I checked online and there are no shutter release accessories for the camera. So I can't really say for sure. Thx.

Q: 5. what is the maximum f-stop?

A: f2.2 to f11

A: The MegaGear Ultralight Neoprene Camera Case for Canon PowerShot SX70 HS without a lens hood--a very small hood might fit.

Q: 7. What focusing method does this camera use? Couldn't find anything on the canon site.

A: Facial recognition focusing works amazing as well.

Q: 8. This camera has a bulb seting, can you hook up a remote cable?

I needed a camera which is compact, simple to operate, well made, and, most important, delivers beautiful images. I have had the camera only a few weeks, and taken fewer than 100 pictures, but on that limited basis I would say it meets my needs perfectly. I have made 8x10 prints from photos taken outdoors in good light, and I can attest that, in terms of sharpness, definition, and color, they are virtually indistinguishable from similar prints made from my Nikon D-500. I have not taken any video so I cannot comment on that. Bottom line: after anguishing over the Sony and the Lumix, among others, I opted for the G-7 Mark II and I am well satisfied with my choice.
