A: Yes, the Airo by K-Tek ASM1 Shockmount is compatible for use with the Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun microphone.

A: The inside diameter of the mount rings is 3/4 inch when empty. I use a Rode NTG 2 and its outside diameter is 7/8 inch. I believe the VidPro XM-55 has the same outside diameter of 7/8 inch.

A: The Sanken CUB-01 Boundary Microphone could theoretically be terminated in a 3.5mm TRS connector. Just keep in mind the power requirement of 3 to 10 VDC.

A: Yes, the lyre mounts on the RODE SM4-R Suspension Shockmount can be moved closer together. There are two additional threads inside of the open slots which can be used to attach the lyres.

A: Yes, you can position most shogun microphones to allow enough room for use with a windscreen or dead cat.

Q: 10. Will this work for the Sennheiser MKH8060 or is there a better choice for that?

A: The Rycote Standard Hole Classic Softie Wind-Screen (BH #RYS12M) is a better option for the Sennheiser MKH 8060.

I wanted a low-profile shockmount to use on a mic stand instead of the large and tall pistol grip shockmount that came with my NTG5 mic. This mount fits that purpose. The red Lyre shockmounts provide isolation from shocks/vibrations and look cool, not big and ugly like the huge classic shockmounts with big rubber bands everywhere. For best isolation this shockmount is designed to work with a custom Rode cable (PG2-R Pro Cable) that needs to be purchased separately and is not cheap. My NTG5 mic package already came with this cable so I didn't have to buy one. This mount would also work well on a boom stand or boom pole. Though for field/location work might make more sense to consider the Rode PG2-R, a pistol grip mount that includes the custom Rode cable. The pistol grip is useful for handholding the mic in certain outdoor scenarios. 5

This case is the perfect replacement case for our Sony ECM-44B lavalier mics. My only concern was the cost and the shipping time. However, I could not find another case like this one. We need a sturdy case because we loan to college students. 5

I use this case to protect my Sanken cos-11d microphone and its accessories. The case reminds me of the well built cases for the Sony ECM serie microphones. The case is well built, professional and affordable. Every Sanken cos-11d microphone deserves this level of protection. 5
