The LED LUMEN-Series Light Panel from Porta-Trace / Gagne is a frameless crystal LED light panel designed for traditional light box or display purposes. It has an 6 x 9" viewing area with one lengths of LEDs. The embedded LEDs push light across the unit and allow for an ultra-slim design at 1/2" thickness with no hot spots. The back of the unit is made of crisp black acrylic.

Q: 5. How do you clean the dust inside the light panel? I cannot find a proper way to open the panel and clean all those dreadful dusts and particles amassed there.

I use it for scanning film in conjuction with a PixLtr film frame and a copy stand and camera. The Gagne gives off no heat and the lighting is bright and uniform. The leg stands are too long for my setup, but they also hold the assembly together. I'll probably replace the legs with some short length nuts and bolts. I don't think this is a criticism but rather about my personal preferences. Great product. 5

This is a great little light source and works well for a small desktop negative / transparency viewing / scanning area. Very even light and the unit sits 7/8 off the your desk top. Only drawback I can see is the way the power cord comes off the side of the unit and not out of the bottom which makes it easy to bump and possibly break. Plus, there isn't an on/off switch so it must be plugged and unplugged to turn it on or off for each use. Even an in-line switch would work nicely for this light source. But that is only a minor inconvenience and easy to work with. 5

I didn't see this anywhere else...you can easily (no tools needed) disassemble this light panel to hold pictures (for tracing) or photo negatives (for thumbnails) between the top clear acrylic and lower fogged acrylic. It's a game-changer for me, photo thumbnails take much less time, colors are more accurate, there's no distortion. 5

Even edge to edge illumination. Very handy for reviewing old slides and negs. Would be nice to have an on-off switch, but it's no biggie. A bargain. 5

I needed a small light box/table for viewing slides and negatives for a digitizing project. This was a perfect solution at a decent price. I don't mind that it doesn't have an on/off switch. Just plug it into a switched outlet. 5

Nicely priced and made in the USA, this panel is adaptable to many uses and is very bright and evenly lit with plenty of 5000K illumination. I like the way the four short legs hold the panel off the table so the electrical cord and other small objects don't get stuck underneath. There's no power switch, but the cord has a quick disconnect that does the job. 5

I bought this as a light source for digitizing negatives and slides using a digital camera. The light is bright and even. It doesn't have an off switch, but the connector to the power plug is right next to the frame, so it's very easy to turn on and off. It does exactly what I need and the price was reasonable. 5
