A: Regarding the Premier Imaging Smooth Hot Press 205 Natural White Greeting Cards & Envelopes (20-Pack, 7 x 10"), Premier only publishes 5 ICC profiles for some of their canvas and paper specifically for the Canon 1000. But you can run a test using other paper settings for smooth, matte paper.

Q: 7. Can we reuse the fixer? For up to how many rolls?

A: A general rule-of-thumb would require you to test your fixer working solution immediately after mixing to find its clearing time, then when it takes twice as long as the original test to clear the film, you may discard it. In practice, to test your working solution, you can take an unexposed piece of film (such as the film leader) and place a drop of fixer on the emulsion side of the film. Leave it for approximately 20-30 seconds. Then place the film into the fixer, ensuring it is covered. Time how long it takes for the clear spot to disappear (when you can no longer tell the spot you placed the drop of fixer from the rest of the completely clear film). This would be the fixer's clearing time. You would double this time amount to find the amount of time it takes to fix your film (i.e., if it took 2 minutes 10 seconds for the film to become completely clear and the dot to disappear, you would fix film for 4 minutes 20 seconds). You would test your fixer every time before using the fixer. When, during your test, it takes twice as long to fix your scrap film leader to clear as it did when you first mixed the working solution, it may be discarded and you may make a new working solution. (if you wish, you may wait until it takes triple the time your original test took to clear, but this would result in extremely long fixing times).

Q: 8. Can you use this with Color C41 film?

A: The Ilford Simplicity Black and White Film Wetting Agent is not compatible with C41 film.

Q: 9. How long will this last before it will go bad?

A: The Ilford Simplicity Black and White Film Wetting Agent (25mL) can be kept for 2 years unopened. Once opened they should be used immediately. If opened accidentally then immediately resealed it should be used within 6 months.

Q: 10. Does this scrim fit on the older 'non cine' frames?

A: No, they do not. The cine versions and the older ones are different enough that they will not fit.

The MyStudio background I purchased in 2009 was beginning to crack around the edges and was yellowing. I was so pleased to be able to purchase a replacement. It arrived directly from the manufacturer in a strong tube so as not to be damaged in shipping. It is beautiful with a shiny side and a matte side. I began taking photos of my handmade jewelry the same day it arrived. Thank you B&H.

Wow, this little studio did an amazing job for my last minute product shoot. I am so incredibly impressed with this setup that I had to leave a glowing review. The photos came out amazing and the lighting is perfect. Yes, it looks funny and a little awkward to set up, but it did the job for some really tricky product shoot I had. The instructions aren't the greatest to follow, but like other uses - just watch the fantastic DVD! I can't wait to expand my photography more by offering clients product sessions. Thank you again for MyStudio for offering such an affordable product ... Thank you!

This is a great product, I shopped around for tabletop studios for a while and finally decided on this one. When it came in the mail I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the box. This is a pretty good sized studio that allows for photography of many items. We are using it for jewelry and it works VERY well. Gives professional quality images everytime! I love the reflector glass plates (white and black) that it comes with, I probably use those, and the necklace hangers the most. Also the wax is very good, and is better than the wax I had been previously using from CVS. The tripod is a little flimsy if you are using a bigger camera, but if you have a bigger camera you probably already have a nice tripod like i did. The light is very bright, I added some lights of my own to get a unique look, but you really only need the top light for a good picture. When I got mine in the mail, it had one black little scuff on the sloped white background, I put some whitening toothpaste on it over night and it wiped right off in the morninig. All and all, I am very happy with this kit. It comes with really everything you will need to take awesome pictures! I have used another kit before that was twice as much as this one and this one is way better! I would buy it again any day!

I purchased this on a whim looking for something simple to help my jewelry photography which can be quite a pain sometimes. I found that it made getting professional looking photos so easy that I started using it for many other types of small products and I am just blown away by how easy it is to take an amazing photo with this kit. It's almost embarrassing how easy it is, really. I am a professional photographer so I have plenty of experience, but I can imagine that this would be an absolute MUST HAVE for entry level photographers to help with product photography. The difficult elements, lighting and background, are taken care of and there are even very detailed instructions on how to take a great photo. I even used the suggested exposure settings for my first photo and it was almost right on the money. I was so impressed with the MS20J that I just bought the larger MyStudio MS32 for larger items. I can't recommend this enough.

My girlfriend is having a lot of success with the MS20...The pictures really come out excellent. I was surprised because it's such a simple setup..But with a Canon Rebel XT and a macro lens, we're able to take some amazing clear and sharp pictures. The results with the MS20 are so good that with jewelry that has some wear, we sometimes need to be careful because the pictures comes out too good. Or we've had the opposite result whether the even light and a slightly overexposed image hides all blemishes, which could be a problem because we want to accurately depict the product. The bottom line.... The MS20 is a valuable tool for anyone taking pictures for a website and was easily worth the cost.
