A: Margaret,The silver/white is a reflective fabric. If you are also looking for a diffusion fabric, your choice could be determined by several factors. The original quality of the light you are diffusing and how much you want to alter/diffuse that are probably the two main factors. Most Westcott softboxes use a full stop fabric and so I would suggest you start with that one as a diffusion fabric choice for your Scrim Jim Frame.

A: The Westcott Illuminator Collapsible 2-in-1 Silver/White Bounce Reflector (32") is a total 32 inches across. But it has a board so the actual reflective area is 30 inches.

Q: 9. Is it possible to put a matted picture (2 boards, 4 ply each) in these sleeves?

A: The print protectors I have are exactly 16.25 x 20.5 inches. I think you can probably fit your matted work into this (two 4 ply boards and an image in between), although it will most likely be a slim fit--which is a good thing, I believe, to keep the work from easily slipping out.

Gives a big source for reflected light. It is advisable to have a Masters degree in reflector-folding prior to opening the reflector for the first time. 5

I had been considering a 12" round reflector, but this 14" "rounded-off square" design provides a bit wider spread of light (making it better suited to head shots than the 12"), while the corners work well along the sides of my small Kaiser product table. It's also perfect for macro work, of course. �It folds down to a 6" circle in the provided carry/storage case. �Quality is typical Westcott...excellent. 5

This is the quickest way I know of getting a black background. Some care must be taken to keep direct light off to maximize it's usefulness, but PP helps too. I wouldn't call this a reflector, but I have a range of fold-up reflectors I use frequently. Quickest, easiest, cheapest way to modify light and control backgrounds. 5

It's amazing that this large reflector folds up into a circle! Easy to set up and take down. Am using the Westcott arm to hold it on a C-Stand in my home studio right now, but plan to use it outside as a large diffuser this summer for outdoor photo shoots. 5
