Q: 1. How thick is the background?

A: The vinyl is fairly heavy, but combined with the backing I will roughly guess about 3/32 to 1/8 thick.The background is not folded, it's wrapped on a tube and is shipped in a very heavy shipping tube. Excellent product.

Q: 2. Is this background designed to be used with the Westcott X-Drop stand system whereby there are 3 grommet holes on top and 2 on the bottom to prop upright with the stand? I already have the X-Drop stand.

Q: 3. What is the width of the individual wood planks on the backdrop?

A: Individual planks are 7 3/4 +/- 1/8 with slightly narrower planks on the edges on this background. Other versions of the plank styles may have different dimensions.

Q: 4. Is this seamless paper or a floor mat?

A: This is printed on Vinyl and it can be used as a backdrop or a floor mat.

Q: 5. Since these backdrops are vinyl, how are they stored/transported since they cannot be folded/scrunched up like the fabric backgrounds?

A: They come rolled up in a big tube.

Q: 6. Does it wrinkle easily?

A: This is a vinyl background which does not easily wrinkle.

Q: 7. The description of this product refers to an optional 5’ baseboard. Where is this item found?

A: There is no optional add on (they might of planned to do it), they do have X Drop 5x12' that will give you the baseboard.

A: Wei,Not sure what the issue may have been back in February of last year as the current one shown here appears identical to the file we use at Wescott to print the backdrop. Provided your monitor is fairly accurate and you light the background appropriately for photography, I cannot see why your final image would not provide the same tones and patterns you see in the sample image.

Q: 10. Can B&H confirm if the canvas version of this backdrop is the old cloth like material they used to make them out of vs. their new almost vinyl like material they are now producing? I believe Westcott made the change back in November of 2021
