Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. In my Canon 70D, transceiver on the hotshoe does not trigger flash if Viewfinder LCD of the camera is ON.If I turn off the LCD and look through eye piece view finder, everything works fine.Is this a bug?

A: My Pocket Wizard X's have given me excellent service and are simple to use. I've used the X's on a Leica V-Lux (top 114) and even on a Canon SX 60 without issue but also employing just the viewfinder. It sounds like a glitch to me but a quick call to Nikon service should resolve the problem. However, keep in mind many manufacturers will try to steer you towards their own gear. Short of that try to find another 70D owner who will allow you to run a quick test on his or her camera or, at least, help you trouble shoot the problem online.

Q: 2. Can I use a Canon speedlite transmitter attached to a 5d mark II to trigger these units?

A: NO! You can not...Pocket Wizards will sync with all other Pocket Wizards and some older Pocket Wizard receivers built into Profoto flash generators, that's it...

Q: 3. Is there anyway to use the pocket wizard transceiver to wireless trigger shutter release on Nikon D700?

A: With two pocket wizard and the correct cable connection between the Plus X and D700 you will be able to trigger the shutter release.

Q: 4. Hi there, I am just wondering that after putting in 2 flexTT5 and 1 miniTT1 with AC3, can the outside zippered compartment (or inside zippered mesh) fit in 6 AA batteries? Thanks.

A: In my opinion it is definitely not enough room to store 6 AA batteries into outside pocket or in the inner mesh pocket! Best,Janez

Q: 5. Does this work with a Canon Mark ii 5D?

A: Yes!

Q: 6. Curious if anyone has used this pouch for the older pocket wizards with the non-fordable antennas?

A: No, the ones with antennas totally do not fit this pouch!

Q: 7. Works with godox dp1000iii ?

A: Yes, the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack would be compatible for use with the Godox DP1000III Professional Studio Flash. The PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack includes the cables needed to connect the PlusX to the Godox DP1000III. Do note you will have to set the flash output manually, as TTL flash output would not be compatible when using the PocketWizard PlusX radio transceivers.

Q: 8. I want to to control 2 speedlights using a film camera, how is that works?

A: To wirelessly trigger two (2) off-camera speedlight flashes using the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack with a film camera with a hot shoe (or PC sync terminal), you would need a total of three (3) PocketWizard PlusX transceivers; one is needed on the camera's hot shoe (or connected to the camera's PC sync terminal) to communicate and wirelessly trigger the two (2) off-camera speedlights. If you need an additional PlusX transceiver. the PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver, B&H # POPWPX, would be a single unit sold separately. While you did not specify which camera or which speedlights you own, if you own speedlights that have a built-in PC sync terminal, you may use the included cables to connect the PlusX transceiver to your flashes. However, if your flashes do not have a PC sync terminal, you may purchase an accessory such as the PocketWizard HSFM3 Flash Sync Cable (3'), B&H # POHSFM3, to connect the PocketWizard PlusX transceivers to your speedlight flashes.

Q: 9. Will this work for continuous shooting? If so, up to how many shots?

A: I assume so, but it would be more important for the speed of your strobes to keep up . I've never used them to fire cameras only . They are great and reliable .

Q: 10. Is this works with Mamiya RZ67 and Godox SK300II strobe?

A: Yes it will work but you are better off getting the Godox Sony transmitter Godox X1T-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter for Sony as it will work smoother then the Plus x B&H # GOX1TS

The G-Wiz by PocketWizard is a thinly padded, well constructed case designed for radio triggers. The main compartment fits two Plus III units nicely with just enough room for another small accessory. There is an external zippered compartment as well, though it is quite small and fits just two or three cables. Overall, I believe this is fine case for general storage or light travel.

I Highly recommend this case, looks very good, protects my two PocketWizards, also it gives me a more professional look, when I pull out of my backpack this product, I'm a wedding photographer and sometimes this little details count. So I'm sure with this great case will give more lifetime to the PockeWwizards.

Very durable, nice way to protect two PW's. Room for accessory cables too!

The case houses two PW Flex TT5 and one PW Mini TT1 perfectly with some room to spare, it could house two PW Mini TT1 if needed and some additional space for spare batteries. The material used for the case is very good quality. Overall the case is built very well.

I assumed these cases would be your standard, semi-generic feeling soft case for PocketWizard's, but they're even better than I expected. These cases have a rigid and protective build to them. They also have a small pocket on the inside for sync cables. They also hold my Flex TT5 quite well too, along with my Plus II's. There's also a heavier duty loop on the back as well as a small carabiner.

Purchased a pair of these to protect and store my Pocket Wizard Plus II units while not in use. The case is made of very sturdy materials and has pockets for storing the cables and lanyard.
