Designed to work with the ATM350a Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone, the AT8492U is a mounting system intended for use with instruments and other surfaces, such as desktops. The system consists of a metal clip-on mount with rubber-lined jaws, as well as a flexible 5" gooseneck. With the mount's locking screw, you can affix it safely and securely. A: It doesn't come with a base. I bought a Whirlwind Micmute PTD Push-to-Talk Switch to use as a base with momentary push to talk.

A: According to Audio Technica this clip should fit any of their Audio-Technica case style M8's. The model number that you sent is incorrect they normally have 4 digits for the part number. But yours seems to be an 8 series so it should fit fine.

Q: 10. Would it fit Rode NT4?

A: You may have to thread the mic through the bands by weaving it at both pairs of bands, instead of sticking it straight through. I love this shock mount and have used it for years, on all kinds of mics.
