A: This chart is for big budget video productions. At that level you need everything to be operating at top level. This chart will make sure your cameras lenses are calibrated to the highest degree possible. In such a high level big budget situation, the high cost of the chart is chump change when reputations and corporate budgets are on the line. In such a situation you do not want to say to the networks chief technical executive Sorry the cameras look like junk but we got a great deal by using a cheap chart.

A: this does not include the tripod. We use a standard mic stand. We had purchased an Atlas Stand, B&H part # MS20 and it works great.

A: The packet comes with a sticker recommending to replace it after 18 to 24 months. If you can keep it in its pouch like a vampire keeps to his coffin when not in use, it should be OK from fading for longer than that. I suppose it depends on whether you have it out constantly in the light or not and how roughly it is handled. It's sturdy but the surface must be protected.
