The Audix R42 Kit-A is a Performance Series dual-channel UHF diversity receiver designed to deliver enhanced range and easy configuration for musicians, vocalists, presenters, and public speakers in houses of worship, concert venues, conferences, and live stage applications. It offers 106 pre-coordinated frequencies across 32 MHz of bandwidth in the 522 to 554 MHz frequency band. Use two wireless microphones (available separately) from up to 300' away. One-touch sync and auto scan functions provide simple and efficient setup.

The high-contrast LCD shows a host of information such as battery level, frequency, and AF/RF signal strength, which can be optimized via adjustable AF and RF gain. XLR and 1/4" outputs allow compatible connectivity with the balanced or unbalanced inputs on your mixing console. The R42 Kit-A ships with two antennas, two BNC cables, an audio cable, one power supply, and a rackmount kit.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is channel A B C D ?

A: Channel A,B,C or D refers the the frequency the mixrophones transmit on. If buying multipe systems you should buy different frequencies.

Q: 2. can you replace the heards on these transmitters with Beata 58 heads?

A: You cannot change the capsule on the Shure BLX288/PG58. But you can buy the Shure BLX24R/B58 which comes with a Beta 58A Capsule. This is the B&H part number BH #SHB24RB58H10

Q: 3. Hey folks, might be a long shot but Id like to hear what you have to say. I currently have a couple channels of ULXS4, they have the beta 58 capsules on the handheld transmitter. Any chance I could swap the pg58 for the beta58? Just trying to get the most out of my non qualified for rebate obsolete stuff. Thanks.

A: I love this system but can't answer this question.

Q: 4. Can the receiver connect to my mirrorless camera or computer to livestream a presentation?

A: Yes, you will just need to connect the Shure BLX88 Receiver to the camera's audio input or to an audio interface like B&H # FOSSOLO4G to allow for livestreaming.

Q: 5. Is the base unit rack mountable?

A: No, the BLX88 receiver is not rack-mountable. To install it inside a rack, it would have to be on a shelf such as BH #SHURT2.

Q: 6. Can you use rechargeable batteries

A: Yes AA rechargeable, listed under accessories: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1194978-REG/shure_blx288_pg58_h10_blx288_dual_transmitter_handheld_wireless.html/accessories

Q: 7. Is the cable to connect to my mixer included? If not, what is the exact cable I need?

A: No, the receiver output cables are not included with the wireless system. The receiver has individual 1/4" TS outputs for each of the channels and a single XLR output that sends a combined signal with the audio from both microphones. So you can use either two 1/4" TS cables (standard instrument cable) like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series 1/4" Male to 1/4" Male Instrument Cable (6' (B&H # KOI3006) or use an XLR cable like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable (6', Black) B&H # KOM3006).

Q: 8. Is the FCC changing the frequency use for these mics?

A: Hi Rene, these wireless packages (BLX288/PG58) operate in bands below the portion being restricted by the FCC over the next couple of years. Specifically, the new restrictions cover frequencies above 608MHz; these Shure systems operate below that range. I've operated with this system (J10 band) for nearly a year now with no issues.

Q: 9. What is the difference between the BLX and SLX Series of Shure wireless microphones

A: Metal

Q: 10. Is this the frequency for Central Kentucky?

A: Yes, H10 will work in Central Kentucky. With 12 microphone reservations on this channel for that area code. You should have no problems running H10. Future reference, please feel free to visit: ShureFrenquencyFinder.com This website allows you to pick your area code, the type of shure analog system you will be using, and it will show you how compatible certain frequency bands are.
