$237.00 $379.20

The red RoadTrip Air Travel Tripod from MeFoto is a sturdy, lightweight, and compact aluminum alloy support designed for the modern enthusiast and smartphone photographer.

Extending to a maximum height of 61" and capable of supporting up to 13.2 lb, the RoadTrip Air is not all that different from its Classic series sibling—with one big difference—HyperLocks. The telescoping 5-section HyperLock design allows the user to set-up and break-down the tripod with speed and ease by simply turning the rubber foot in one direction to extend the leg and in the opposite direction to lock it at the desired length. This design also helps to reduce the tripod's overall weight down to a transportable 2.5 lb.

Appealing to both system camera users and smartphone photographers, the Air series comes equipped with a few features that many users will find both fashionable and functional. Starting off, the Air series features a color-matched Arca-type compatible ball head, which not only includes a color matched Arca-type plate, but is also capable of independent 360° pans—an uncommon feature on a ball head this compact. Secondly, the entire center column may be removed from the tripod and, using HyperLock technology, is capable of extending into a stand-alone selfie stick. A folding smartphone adapter is included for convenience as is a universal Bluetooth remote capable of triggering the camera on most smartphones. Lastly, MeFoto aims to make user manuals a thing of the past with new intuitive icons on the tripod's body. Each icon is placed at a point of interest or adjustment and details, in easy-to-understand pictograms, how to adjust the tripod for any shooting situation.

For those looking to use the RoadTrip Air for low-angle photos or on a table top, each one of the tripod's anodized aluminum legs can be spread independently down to a minimum height of 11.4". The 3-position leg angle stops allow the user to adjust the tripod's height to accommodate almost any shooting situation. Additionally, a removable spring-loaded hook is located in a recess at the bottom of the center column, allowing you to hang a variety of weighted objects to increase the tripod's overall stability.

As a travel tripod, the RoadTrip Air is designed to fold in an inverted style with the 3 legs collapsing upward around the center column. This design allows the RoadTrip to attain a compact folded length of just 11.4", which fits conveniently within the included soft carrying case.

Everything feels high quality and moves smooth. I use it with a Sony a6000 camera and everything works well with it. Recommended to me by a gear friend of mine and it lives up to how good he said it was.

I bought this to take around with me to film videos at different locations because I wanted something more portable than my regular tripod but also not too flimsy and this definitely fit the bill. It is pretty easy to use & figure out for somebody who doesn't like to read directions. I have had some mild confusion at first when putting it away and trying to figure out how to get it into its most compact position just because it's not like a typical tripod, but just something to get used to.

Folds up very small, but it's a bit heaver than I expected. It is very sturdy so the extra weight is worth it. Most tripods that fold up this small will not support the weight this one will. All In all it's great

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and construction, especially for the sales price. Very solid tripod, though I wish its maximum height was a bit more. But considering that it is a travel tripod, the designer did and excellent job getting the maximum height out the design. I am going to acquire a small extension to increase the height to a more comfortable level

I used this tripod for the first time this week w/a Sony a7 camera. It took me a 10 or 15 min. to figure out all of the adjustments. The project was in 3 different locations: set-up take-down, etc. It worked very well. I had one moment when the camera slipped off of the base, but that was my error and I was holding the camera; so no disaster. The project involved architectural photos, so I could move slow & take time to set up. The 'pod was quite stable & easy to move - good height adjustment - held the camera where it was positioned - became easier to set up as I used it. By the end of the day I liked it a lot.

I live in NYC and wanted a very small lightweight tripod to walk around the city with, specifically for night shots and other long exposure shots. I bought this MeFOTO RoadTrip Air Travel Tripod a few weeks ago. It's perfect for this very specific need. It's small and lightweight and easy to quickly open and close. You definitely have to make sure the legs are tight when open all the way, especially the bottom rung. Otherwise, it's pretty sturdy. I'm shooting with a Canon R5 and RF 15-35mm f/2.8 lens. I keep the camera strap around my neck just to be on the safe side. It's not a replacement for my pro tripods, but it absolutely addresses a unique use-case for me.

I bought this for lower ground photography of flowers. Lighter to carry. However, I soon realized it was so easy to extend the legs and the center tube to use for regular height shots as well. Held my Nikon Z7 with a Lensbaby Velvet 85 without an drop when on the tripod. I highly recommend for travel too as it folds compactly to fit in a suitcase or backback.
