The Vortex Optics 45° angled-viewing Razor HD 27-60x85 Spotting Scope is engineered with an oversized objective, superior glass, and specialized optical coatings to provide clear and bright images at all magnifications and lighting conditions. The triplet apochromatic lens is made of high-density (HD) extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to increase light transmission, minimize distortion, and virtually eliminate chromatic aberration. All air-to-glass surfaces have Vortex's XRPlus anti-reflective coatings to minimize light loss and maximize image brightness, while the Porro prisms have highly reflective dielectric coatings that improve brightness, clarity, and color accuracy. This combination of coatings and optics creates a spotting scope that produces bright, clear, high-contrast images with accurate color rendition.

The lightweight and armored magnesium chassis is O-ring sealed and argon filled to be water and fogproof. A helical focus system, with a wide adjustment collar, allows for fast, yet fine focusing even when wearing gloves. The scope has a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting shoe and a tripod collar that rotates to permit the eyepiece to be positioned in the best viewing position. A retractable lens shade helps to reduce glare while keeping snow or rain off the objective lens.

Well, we have looked through many high quality scopes over the years while hunting and birding with friends.s This one is among the best at any price. It is fantastic! AND my wife and I BOTH agree!!!! WOW! We are currently in the midst of the Spring Waterfowl migration and are amazed at how well we can see the subtle details that make a difference in identification between species, at very, very long distances, under all kinds of weather conditions. We've had it out in the rain, snow, high winds, low light, and even a nice day. It gets the job done, 100% as good as those costing 2 or 3 times more. Best Value by far and TOP performance under all conditions. The crew @ B&H Photo are right in line with the scope and Vortex tripod. Can't be beat IMO! They recommended it, promptly delivered it, and followed up after the sale. Best deal we found anywhere! Fantastic experience on all fronts! Only thing that either Vortex or B&H Photo should have done was to recommend we buy two. One for myself and one for my wife. Either that or a dual person eyepiece or big screen, weatherproof TV attached or at the very least, a timer to ring loudly when it is the other persons turn! And, I know it will be much worse when we take our kids and grandkids out to view the birds. Today I took a couple minutes to try out digiscoping for the first time. Just intended to get my feet wet so to speak, so I would know what help to seek. I was really excited when viewing the results. Some were fantastic! All could be used for bird id and some could be printed & framed & hung on the wall! First time out! Very windy conditions and low light made it very tough to get the kind of shutter speed needed to stop the action for those prime printed enlargements! Yet we got some! Can't wait for a break in the weather to see what it will do under optimal conditions! It has already surpassed my wildest expectations, and can't wait to see just how good it really is as a super zoom lens! 5

I use mine for birdwatching in Mexico. A fellow birdwatcher recommended it. I use it to spot birds at a far distance before taking a long distance photograph. It contributes to excellent photos. I recommended it to a friend takes photos of the Manhattan skyline and the New York harbor from his home overlooking Sandy Hook. We are bothe using the iPhone attachment product for even better shots. 5

Bought the angles scope. I love this thing. I have a friend who has a $3,000 dollar scope he likes mine better. I didn’t pay that much for a great scope. Great glass super clear. Easy to focus. It’s a must have for any kind of hunting. 5

This scope had made a huge difference in my ability to hunt. Being able to get a good look at an animal from a distance before you make the move. It is a little heavier then other similar models but with the quality and warranty of vortex it is worth it. (I have the older version) 5
