Q: 1. Just received this kit and found that I am unable to mount the shock mount to the mic stand. We have a standard sized mic stand but the shock mount attachment is too small. Is there a special (or different) attachment available so I can mount the shock mount and mic to the mic stand?

A: The included shockmount features a female 3/8 to 5/8 male microphone adapter (similar to B&H# AUADCOMBOB) that allows integration with European standardized mic stands. To remove, simply locate the indentations or grooves on the outer edge of the adapter, and use a flat head screw-driver or small coin to turn an loosen; at which point the shockmount will have the correct size for your mic stand.

A: I have compared the Turret video to a Logitech C920, Unfortunately I am not able to post links to this site. I was impressed by the quality, The only notable difference to me was that the C920 was slightly more wide angle, but not a deal breaker in my opinion.

Q: 6. Viewing the video, we understand there is a problem using a Macbook Pro with USB C connectors. Does the problem also exist with Macbooks Pro's that have USB A connectors?

A: Not as far as we have discovered - no.

Q: 7. The ring light looks tiny. Does it actually help at all to reduce shadows from overhead lights?

A: I saw these at a trade show - yes the light does reduce shadows, I just felt the light was too annoying to be staring into for the duration of a webcast, and decided to pass. Also, my application includes me working and screensharing on a PC - this would have to sit smack in fron of my screen, since there's no way to adjust the camera height.

Q: 8. Can this support a Shure MV7 microphone with room to maneuver up and down and allow room for the cord off back?

A: Yes, the Marantz Professional Sound Shield Vocal Reflection Filter support the MV7 microphone, however, you will have to slide the microphone attachment bar all the way to the front, there will be some room for adjustment up or down. The cord will go under the filter.

Q: 9. No 24p support?

A: The Marantz Turret does not currently support 24p video.
