The Profilux LED1000 Daylight Fresnel from Hedler is a compact daylight-balanced fixture with a built-in electronic ballast that's suitable for video or still photography. The LED1000's efficient LED lamp consumes 185W of power yet outputs many times that number in equivalent tungsten light and with a high CRI of 95. The fixture is fully dimmable too. The housing has a QuickFit adapter that allows easy use of all reflectors, softboxes plus a 4-way barndoor set to modify the light, while the fixture's extensive 20 to 60° spot-to-flood range gives the user a variety of light quality choices. A number of safety measures have been incorporated such as integrated overheating protection and an LED safety switch-off. The Profilux LED1000 has a 5/8" receiver for stand mounting and a 110-240 VAC power supply for worldwide use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. in the included box, it says it includes a battery plate and an ac adaptor, does it come also with a yoke ?

A: Yes. All of our Dracast lights that need a yoke come with a yoke. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 2. Can you power this from a 24 volt battery if so what is the input connection?

A: Yes. There is a 24-volt input on the right side of the unit. I don't know what the connector is called, though. It's circle-shaped, and the outside of it is threaded. The inside is a half inch in diameter (I measured), and has two pins. It looks rather like a male XLR connector (so in other words your cable would have to be female), except that there are only two pins instead of the standard 3. There is a nub in the top of the inside of the circle to prevent a cable being inserted upside-down (one of the pins has positive polarity and the other has negative). I'm sorry I don't know what this connector is called, but if you want to contact me directly I can probably email you a picture of it if that would help.

Q: 3. what is the diameter of the fresnel lens?

A: The Fresnel 200 from Dracast has a 3" fresnel lens.

Q: 4. What are the dimensions of the fixture including the yoke mount? Im trying to find a case that would carry this and two of the 500 Pros.

A: THE DRACAST FACTORY PRODUCT INFORMATION SHEET INDICATES THAT THE LED1000 PLUS DAYLIGHT LED LIGHT HAS DIMENSIONS OF 12 TALL WITHOUT THE YOKE AND 16 TALL INCLUDING THE YOKE X 13.375 WIDE AND 2.5 DEEP. THE CATALOG SHEET WE HAVE INDICATES THAT THE LED LIGHT/YOKE COMBINATION IS ALSO 12 , WHICH IS INCORRECT. THE SHIPPING BOX FROM THE FACTORY INCLUDING THE PACKING MATERIAL IS 18 TALL X 18 WIDE BY 8 DEEP. IF WE WERE TO CARRY THESE IN ONE CONTAINER WE WOULD USE INTERNAL DIMENSIONS, INCLUDING THE PACKING MATERIAL, A MINIMUM OF 36 LONG X 18 TALL X 8 DEEP. TWO OF THE LED LIGHTS WOULD BE STORED NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER IN THIS SENARIO. THERE MAY BE ROOM TO STORE YOUR ADDITIONAL ITEMS IN THE SAME CONTAINER ... ALL WITH EFFECTIVE PROTECTION AROUND IT ALL.

Q: 5. What are the real world footcandle readings for this light at 5', 10' and 15' in spot mode?

A: At 15: 7,500 lux @ 6.0' (1.8 m) Fc 696.7728 1,800 lux @ 12' (3.6 m) Fc 167.225472790 lux @ 18' (5.5 m) Fc 73.3934016

Q: 6. What is the hmi equivalent of this?

A: It has the equivalent approximately of a 400w HMI light.

Q: 7. My unit has a high pitch whistle sound that can be heard when turned on. Is this normal? I know older HMI's have silent modes but I I can't get an answer from Dracast on this, they are giving me the silent treatment.

A: How weight is it ?

Q: 8. Why is there no on/off switch?

A: Dracast says that it intended for the dimmer dial on the Dracast Fresnel 2000 Daylight LED Light to control the power. By dialing it down to "0" yu are effectively turning the light off.

Q: 9. What is the Incandescent Watts equivalent to this light?

A: Unknown. It would be ROUGHLY equivalent to ABOUT 450 Watts of hot tungsten / halogen light. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 10. Would it be possible to attach a beauty dish to this for portrait work?

A: Unfortunately, there are no connections that would allow a beauty dish to be connected to this fixture.
