Wide-open, extremely detailed sound quality allows you to get the most out of your headphones

High-power, high-headroom design can effortlessly drive high-impedance (up to 600 Ohms) headphones even during the loudest, most dynamic tracking sessions

The near-zero output impedance (.01 Ohm at 1 kHz), direct-coupled amplifier design provides for excellent translation with any pair of headphones

The highly damped stereo potentiometer is designed to give you precise level control and maintain perfect left-right balance

The calibrated +4 dBu line input is selected with the "A" switch. The combo jack accepts either XLR or TRS inputs for balanced professional devices

The unbalanced RCA input is calibrated for -10 dBV signals and is selected with the "B" switch. The RCA jack is commonly used with home stereo devices or prosumer equipment

Stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) input is specifically calibrated to work with mobile devices like smartphones, computers, and digital cameras

The VESA 100 compatible mount enables you to mount the RNHP wherever it needs to be. Common mounts are pole-mount arm for mic stands, pivoting multi-arm desk mount, and wall / surface mount for securing upside-down under a table, music stand, or other studio furniture

The RNHP's rugged, solid-steel chassis is built to a high industrial standard with an overhang to protect the connectors and main level control from glancing blows, as well as shock-absorbing rubberized feet

The RNHP can be powered using either the included 6W power supply or a 24V, 0.25A min battery (sold separately)

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The description is ambiguous. Is this an analog to digital converter? Are the input connectors RCA or XLR?

A: Yes it is. It is also an audio interface. This is a list of the inputs and outputs:2 x combination XLR-1/4 inputs2 x 1/4 TRS line inputs, phone type1 x 5-pin DIN MIDI input1 x 5-pin DIN MIDI output2 x 1/4 TRS main outputs, phone type1 x 1/4 headphone output, phone type1 x 5-pin DIN MIDI output

Q: 2. Will this unit drive a 250 or 600 ohm headphone with plenty of power to where I don't feel like I need a higher power amplifier?

A: This headphone amplifier is designed to handle high impedance headphones, so it will have enough power for 250 or 600 Ohm headphones.

Q: 3. I've seen reviews say that this doesn't come with a power supply. Is that true?

A: This interface comes with a power supply.

Q: 4. Does it have crossfeed function?

A: The Violectric HPA V202 Headphone Amplifier does have a switch to control which input you are listening to. However, it does not have a crossfeed function to allow you to listen to both sources at once.

Q: 5. Is it possible to operate it in mono using the XLR connection or only when using the 1/4" connection?

A: Thank you for your question. for mono operation you would need to use the right 1/4 inch input only.

Q: 6. Where can I find the mounting hardware for a rack?

A: thank you for your question. This unit does not have rack mount hardware available. I would suggest getting double sided hook and loop tape and attached to a single 1RU shelf such as the B&H # AURS1U

Q: 7. What is the EIN of this unit in dBu? I can't find the specs anywhere

A: At this time, that spec is not provided by the manufacturer.

Q: 8. Is it Mac compatible?

A: Steinberg's website states the UR-RT2 audio interfaces provide cross-platform compatibility for Windows, macOS, and iOS with the included Cubase AI and Cubasis LE music software but doesn't specific what macOS versions are supported apart from its minimum specs. https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/audio_interfaces/ur_rt_series/resources.html

Q: 9. What would be the best way to connect a Focusrite Scarlett Solo to the Neve?

A: The Scarlett Solo features unbalanced outputs. Connection from the outputs to the Neve RNHP headphone amp would be via RCA cable. From the headphone jack of the Solo would be an alternative. In this case the 3.5mm jack would be the most closely matched connection.

Q: 10. Se puede conectar a una laptop?

A: Yes you can connect the Samson QH4 to a laptop using this cable B&H # PEMMSA106B.

I got this to use in the field, being battery operated is great. I haven’t had any problems with hiss. I also use a power block to run it.

One of the absolute BEST solid state amps made today… PERIOD.
Warm sound, great depth, great detail and soundstage is deep and BIG.
The warmth feels “tube- like” but not over done or veiled… just rich, lush sound all around!!
