Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the largest print you can dry mount? How do you dry mount prints that are larger than 18 x 23?

A: I do a lot of 16x20 prints, but to do larger than that , say a 20x30, you just pass the print through the press and do it in sections. Just make sure you don't over lap the mounting tissue if it's not large enough to cover your entire size, or you will see a line in your final print.

Q: 2. Can I buy a replacement thermostat for the 210 press?

A: Here is the replacement thermostat for the 210M: https://bhpho.to/3wVPqNR

Q: 3. Are the callinration settings potentially impacted by an extender? If so, does Cannon save callibration settings with and without the extender for the same lens?

A: Yes, the calibration settings are impacted by an extender. I use an extender with my long telephoto lenses. My Canon camera -5DMkIII- did save the settings for with and without the extender.

Q: 4. What type of power do you need to run this machine?

A: This unit is for use with 230 VAC, 50 Hz at 20 A.

Q: 5. can one person move this item

A: The unit weighs close to 75lbs. I would recommend that two people be present to move it. A single strong person could perhaps lift it momentarily if they have the upper body strength, but in general I would not advise to lift that weight alone.

Q: 6. What's the thickest media the press can handle?

A: up to 1 inch.

Q: 7. Can this mount a 17x22 print?

A: You can mount a 17x22" print using the D&K 210M Commercial Dry Mounting Press - 18.5 x 23"--the actual size of the plate is 18.5x23".

Q: 8. This can be used in Europe too, or its made from USA voltage?

A: This mounting press is USA voltage only.

Q: 9. What is the largest size print that can be pressed all at once, without shifting the print?

A: The D&K SE-1406 has a Platen Size of 23 x 18.5" / 58.4 x 47 cm. So the that is the largest size print and or matte board that can fit.

Q: 10. Why is the description a D&K 210 press buy pictured is a seal masterpiece 210? Those are two different company's.

A: D&K bought out Seal Co. and kept some of the same model names for the products now produced by D&K, including the 210M Commercial Dry Mounting Press.
