Q: 1. Does it absorb dye based inks also? Thanks

A: Per the representative I spoke with at Epson, this paper is not designed to work with Dye based inks, only Pigment based inks.

Q: 2. What would you use to mount canvas to a gator board? What product is best?

A: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?q=gallery%20wrap&sort=PRICE_LOW_TO_HIGH&filters=fct_accessory-type_1831%3Agallery-wrap-kits%2Cfct_brand_name%3Ahahnem-hle is the method we suggest but it requires a deep standard frame.

Q: 3. is this compatable with the Epson 4900 ???

A: Epson 4900 Printer certainly can. You do need the roll handling set up which is optional. Once you get that you can use the roll canvas. It has a roll paper cutter already built in that will cut the roll papers for you, once you set up the printer for roll feed. However, I would not recommend the built in cutter for canvas. Make sure you turn it off in the options for roll feed. And cut the canvas after printing manually. Use Matte paper set up for the canvas. It will switch the inks aromatically to Matt Black Ink. good luck.

Q: 4. Is this good for printing on epson p 800?I am not sure which canvas to buy to print my photographs as there are so many types. Please advice

A: Great canvas. Make sure to download the Paper profile from Epson for your printer. Then load the profile. Print a test strip. Then print your photos. Make sure to also use a special top coat on the canvas for protection. B&H has the top coat that you can purchase. Also very important, read the instructions sheet that comes with the canvas.

Q: 5. Just purchased after wanting this canvas for over 6 months. Going to finally give it a try. Question--I have heard on other forums about the difficulty in feeding it (I have a 3880). Does anyone have any tips on making the feeding easier?

A: Unfortunately, you have to do some trickery to make it work. Try as I might, I could not get my printer to pick up the canvas without adding a strip of paper onto the bottom of the canvas. For some reason it picks up the paper perfectly but the canvas gives issues. I recommend getting a piece of 17inch paper and cutting it to be 17 x3 and marking a line at the 1 mark. Simply tape the back of the canvas to the piece of paper with the 1 sticking out for the printer to pick up, then offset the work by 1 in photoshop or whatever program you use. There are tutorials online as well, which you have probably seen.

Q: 6. Can I use Epson Stylus Pro 3800 to print on this canvas paper?

A: Absolutely yes you can

Q: 7. can this canvas paper be used in my Epson Stylus Pro 7880?

A: Yes, the Epson Exhibition Canvas Matte Archival Inkjet Paper (24" x 40' Roll) BH #EPECM2440 is compatible with the Epson 7880.

Q: 8. can I use it on my EPSON R2880?

A: Hi Jaime...I used this on my Epson4900 and it worked out great!! Love the images!

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the Canon PIXMA ip8720?

A: No it isn't compatible.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with epson p9000?

A: Yes, you might have to add some contrast, but it works okay.

I have been printing on Exhibition Fiber since it came out. I've not yet been disappointed! The paper retains colors well and presents well also. However where is truly shines is in printing Black and White. Love the different shades of black that the paper can show along with the grays.

I find this paper lends itself to a wide variety of photos. The thickness and texture are rich. It is a reliable, favorite paper.

I use this paper exclusively for printing large photographs on an Epson 4880 printer. The roll is easy to handle and load on the printer. The surface is more of a lustre than high gloss, however, it renders rich highlight detail and deep blacks in the shadows. It's a perfect choice for either B&W or full color images.

This paper has a surface that is pretty close to classic silver gelatin paper, glossy-dried-matte. It is actually a bit more glossy, but has a little more texture, and so gives a similar appearance at a distance. In any case, both b&w and color prints look great. It has minimal optical brighteners, and gives pretty neutral white tones, which I prefer to warm tones. I also like the Hahnemuhle FineArt Bartya. That paper has significant optical brighteners, so is bight white, and has more surface texture. It's also a beautiful paper, but is much more expensive that the Exhibition Fiber. One gripe: Epson, like most photo paper manufacturers, does not offer 17 x 25 sheet sizes, which are the perfect size for printing 16 x 24 images, consistent with the 1:1.5 DSLR format. I buy 17 rolls and cut the sheets myself, which is a lot of work, and you have to uncurl the paper before it can be effectively fed into the printer sheet feeder. I haven't yet tried this with Exhibition Fiber, and I'm not looking forward to it.

I was having some issues with a third-party paper in my SCP-800 so I tried the Epson product and am happy to say it worked very well. Nice, bright whites and good density; the prints resemble silver prints on air-dried glossy fiber paper. But that's the whole point, isn't it?
