Ilford's Delta 100 Professional is a medium-speed black and white negative film featuring core-shell crystal technology in order to produce extremely sharp results with a fine, uniform grain structure. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when developed in standard black and white chemistry, but its wide exposure latitude permits rating the film between EI 50 and EI 200 with maintained results. This versatile film is especially well-suited for fine art and pictorial use, as well as general applications requiring high edge sharpness and unobtrusive grain.

This item is one box of 25 sheets of 8 x 10" film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this film work well with Kodak D-76, or should I use different chemistry?

A: You may develop this film with Kodak D-76.

Q: 2. I'm building a 8x10 camera and I'm wondering what the exact dimensions (like in centimetres) of this film is?

A: The film measures 253 mm on the long edge and 201 mm on the short edge

Q: 3. I am needing a film that will lay fairly flat for scanning. Does this film have a lot of curl?

A: The Ilford Delta 100 Professional Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film) doesn't have a lot of curl and can be lay fairly flat for scanning.

Q: 4. 100 rolls come in this package ?

A: This is not a package of 100 rolls. It is one 100 roll of film. You would use this to fill your own empty 35mm cassettes in a darkroom. http://bhpho.to/1mfsYYH

Q: 5. Is this film 36 exposure?

A: The Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Sony Alpha Connection) is compatible with the A55, yes. This film is not 36 exposures, no. It is a 100 roll of film that would need to be loaded into empty film cassettes before it could be used. The following would be a 36 exposure ISO 100 roll of Ilford Delta:Ilford Delta-100 Professional 135-36 Black & White Negative (Print) Film (ISO-100) (B&H # ILD10036).

Q: 6. About how many rolls of 24 exposure would this cover?

A: If you roll it perfect you can get 20. I usually figure between 18 - 20.

Q: 7. How long does this film need to be developed in the darkroom?

A: My friend this film behaves pretty much like any other B&W film, and personal preferences upon what final results you may be looking for will determine dark room procedures. Delta 100 has a great and well balanced contrast range. If you are looking normal B&W results, and with standard developers at normal 72-75 degrees ambient temp, I will suggest 10 to 12 minutes, agitating (more like soft shaking..not a bartender kind) 10 seconds at each 2 minutes interval then leave the tank upside down the next 2 minutes and agitate again when you put it up (two min upside down, two min up) and repeat until the 10 to 12 minutes are gone. So, let's say if you did use 10 minutes procedure, you will agitate 5 times total with a 50 seconds (10 sec x 5 times) at each inversion. Remember that more agitation, the more contrast you will get, and the more time means pushing the exposure. I hope this may work for you, let me know.!!!

Q: 8. What is the exposure latitude of Delta 100?

A: It has been a long time since I stopped experimenting with similar issues. I think 50/200 is about it.I mainly use xtol, and am happy with results within that range.Hope this could be of some help

Q: 9. please late me know the expiry date.?

A: B&H buys and sells paper in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh paper stock. All of our paper is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our papers prior to purchase.

Q: 10. 4 x 5 film continuance?Will 4 x 5 film continue?

A: Yes, for now and Hope to God forever!

I use these films for in lab experiments and field science (not photography) in an Earth Sciences department, and they work exactly how we expect them to. Fast shipping with online order. Pleasure to deal with B&H.

I have used D100 in 35mm and 120 formats. It is as good as every reviewer has described, especially its clean and almost palpable tonality. I have also found that popular developing recipes deliver too much density with blocked highlights using standard agitation protocols. I quickly started reducing development by 10% while maintaining standard agitation to find proper density and contrast that scanned well on my Epson 4990 with little post processing adjustments needed. Buy with confidence.

Ilford continues to provide high quality black and white films and papers. 5x7 is a less popular format and B&H making 100 sheet boxes available at this price is commendable, thank you. I was skeptical about Delta emulsions having favored more traditional products like FP4. I am extremely happy with the image quality from Delta 100. The tonal range is superior and it prints beautifully processed in PMK.

I have been using this film for longer that I can remember. It has never let me down. The developer you use can effect the film differently. When shooting sheet film I have been using Ilfosol 3 with no problems.
