A: There is no loop to mount it laterally and I think it is insufficient in width.But this can be customized to apply to your situation if you don't mind the shortened floor extension

A: It fits. But it's a very heavy umbrella and I wouldn't recommend using in a generic speedlight flash bracket. I just can't see the locking mechanism holding for many uses before breaking. And I certainly wouldn't use it outside without an assistant holding it. I use it indoors only in the umbrella holder on an AB1600 alienbees and the shaft of the umbrella actually bows toward the floor. It's size makes it slightly awkward but the light it gives is phenomenally soft! It's the best $100 piece of equipment I've bought.
