Q: 1. Is this material dense enough to use to black out light from large windows?

A: Funny you should ask because that's what I use mine for when it's not being used on a shoot. It doesn't do a perfect job of blocking 100% of the window light but it will definitely help reduce by at least 75%(my opinion). I'll see if there's a way to upload a picture.

Q: 2. Does it come with any kind of a case or bag with it?

A: Yes it does come with a bag - same material as the backdrop

A: Personally I use the rough side.

Q: 4. How is the durability of this compared to an actual muslin?

A: Hi, All i can say is that i have been using it for 2 years and still looks great (even after multiple machine-wash).

Q: 5. Is this green screen good for videoing purposes?

A: depends. works fine for one person talking head. anything more demanding, let's say a two person shoot with movement, i'd talk to the experts.

Q: 6. Is this fire retardant?

A: Unfortunately, this product is not fire-retardant.

Q: 7. Will I be able to hang garlands, balloons, et for different set ups like I do with the seamless paper?

A: I suppose you can pin decorations like that to the backdrop, but I imagine making holes wouldn't be best for long term life of the product. Double face tape might work against the fabric. Of course the more you mess with it the messier it will get and you'll have to continue to wash it.

Q: 8. Does the texture of the fleece-like material require care about keeping out of focus? Sounds like it's not as smooth as paper - even stretched out...?

A: These are not as smooth like Seamless paper

A: The Westcott 131 Digital Background (9x10', Chroma Blue) has grommets all around.

Q: 10. How opaque is this backdrop? If I put a couple 2,000 lumen light strips behind it, will they illuminate/diffuse or mostly block the light?

A: I bought this item and rather than opaque I would describe it as translucent. And in that regard it works great. I use softboxes facing the model and an alien bee behind the dropdrop and it lights up the back ground in the image as titanium white, its great.
