Outfitted with a powerful Cree XP-G2 S3 LED, Nitecore's NU20 USB Rechargeable LED Headlamp is a versatile and easy-to-use headlamp that provides hands-free illumination anywhere: in your backyard, garage, campsite, or out on a trail. Powered by a white LED, paired with a micro-texture diffusing reflector, this headlamp delivers a maximum of 360 lumens in a wide (100°) cone of light. To provide an ideal angle of illumination for any task, the lamp can be tilted up or down 52° or detached from the bracket. The lighting program features four preset constant-on output modes: Ultralow, Mid, High, and Turbo. Two additional flashing modes, SOS and Location Beacon, can be used to send out a distress signal or to mark your whereabouts. To power the lamp On and Off, and to switch between the modes, you can use one universal pushbutton located on the top.

To illuminate your path or workplace anywhere, the waterproof and impact-resistant polycarbonate housing is made to withstand the harshest of the outdoor or work conditions. It also incorporates a covered Micro-USB port for charging a built-in 600 mAh Li-ion battery. The included elastic headband is fully adjustable and will readily stretch over your head, cap, or helmet.

I bought this lamp for six reasons. 1. You can use it hands free, very useful when you are hauling your photo gear and a tripod. 2. You can adjust the angle of the beam by turning the light on its central axis 3. You can adjust the size of the beam by rotating the front lens. 4. It can produce a bright light of 1000 lumens 5. The rechargeable battery has enough capacity to produce 1000 lumens for a couple of hours and by choosing a lower lumen light options (available through light switch) it can go much longer. 6. It is USB chargeable. In the couple of months that I have used it, it has performed beautifully on all counts. I am impressed. The only remaining item is long term reliability but so far a great job indeed. I have often found it far easier and more comfortable to wear it around my neck (rather than on my head) as I am usually wearing a winter jacket and found this way to be far more comfortable with the elastic strap going around the collar of my parka and the battery hanging over my chest. I do have a suggestion regarding charging it with the micro USB cable supplied with the battery. Instead of disconnecting the micro end of the cable from the battery box, keep the micro end of the cable permanently connected to the battery box and tie the charging cable (after folding etc) with a velcro tape to the coiled cable which connects the battery to the lamp. Then use the other (regular USB) end of the cable to connect (and disconnect ) to a USB hub. This way there is no danger of damaging the micro end which is built into the battery holder and any damage there shall render the whole light worthless and such damage is not easy to repair. In other words, leave the micro end permanently connected. All in all, I am very satisfied and , in my opinion, it is a great value. Five stars. Ajeet S. 5

Lots of settings and modes but perfectly easy to use worn or handheld. Five to ten times brighter than a ordinary dollar-store headlamp or flashlight, but also low power settings if that's all you need. High capacity USB rechargeable battery included, but compatible with other batteries as well. Very usable and very high quality (military/professional grade) product in a world of disposable plastic garbage. 5

If I had one complaint is that I do wish the unit could remain on turbo mode for longer without over heating. Battery life is excellent. Build quality is superior. 5

I bought this light not really knowing much about it. I've used it on a couple long hikes and it has proven to be a good investment. It is very comfortable and light and provides ample light. The 3 brightness light setting are very nice. 5

Being an ultra trail runner , I had the opportunity to test a lot of different models of headlamp and this is by far my favorite for several reasons 1) battery life (I almost went through 2 consecutive nights on the same battery on medium intensity) 2) 18650 battery (I'm done with overpriced proprietary batteries... cough, cough, PETZL, cough) 3) Easy of use (press one button and that's it) 4) Price (Very reasonably priced) 5) Finally, it just works!! No bells and whistles!! What you see is what you get! 5

Love the brightness, weight, and battery life. Only thing I'd change is to have a red or green light be actually integrated into one of the modes instead of using the plastic cap lens things that are included. Im sure I'll end up losing them but they're a neat idea i guess. 5
