The white pair of 2-way, 8" JBL Control 28-1L Loudspeakers are designed for background or foreground applications. Featuring weather-protected circuitry, the Control 28-1L can be used indoors or outdoors and are well suited for retail stores, restaurants, health clubs, theme parks, educational facilities, hospitality, music cafes, leisure venues, and anywhere where high-quality, high-output indoor/outdoor foreground/background music (and/or paging) speakers are required. The speakers feature JBL's proprietary InvisiBall mounting hardware, which allows for installation through a hidden access point behind its logo badge.

The Control 28-1L require 120W (240W program) at 8 Ohms to power the 8" woven fiberglass woofer and 1" PEI diaphragm tweeter, which combine for a frequency response of 62 Hz to 16 kHz and a max SPL of 118 dB peak. Connections to the speaker are screw-down terminal strips with a zinc-plated copper and nickel-plated metal screws and washers. The JBL Control 28-1L includes the InvisiBall wall-mounting system and a hex key.

A: When purchased, the speakers come with the cable to connect the two speakers. The main speaker has a 1/4" speaker output, and the second speaker has bare wire clips.

If you are planning on installing several of the speakers, you can use the 70 volt transformers and tap them up to 60 watts each. In this case, the amp you require would be based on the total wattage needed when you add up the wattage of each speaker in your 70 volt system.
