Q: 4. Does the Porta Brace Grip Organizer Rigid-Frame Cordura Carrying Case (Large) come with a shoulder strap? I see the loops for the strap, but not the strap itself. Also, does it come with the organizing dividers?

A: The GRIP-ORGANIZERLG is a large, lightweight rigid-framed case ideal for organizing and transporting grip gear such as tools, meters, clamps, tape, and sand bags. The rigid frame provides maximum protection and the interior divider kit and CS-B9 padded pouch (additional pouches sold separately) let you customize the organization of the case interior. The case also comes with 2 TX-STRIPs, which secure to the side of the case with strong hook and loop fastener to help hold frequently used tools in place for fast access. A comfortable, heavy-duty suede shoulder strap is included.

Q: 7. What's the weight rating of the side tripod holder? Can it take the weight of a Manfrotto 504HD head mounted on 535 carbon fiber legs?

A: The combined 504HD and 536 carbon fiber legs weigh about 11 lbs, not a problem for the tripod pocket. However, the closed length of the tripod and head is 35 which is way too long. We suggest a separate carry case for the tripod or a smaller tripod.

the saying you get what you pay for is so true. spend more to get more is evident here. the ability to color correct blew me away. using avid media composer for 30 years and have never been able to dig in deep and color correct so much as the quality of LOG 2 is crazy good.
only beef is.. will the battery get bumped and break the teeth cos it sticks out so much. ill watch that and try to be careful with handheld stuff. i could talk all day how much i love this camera . its fantastic. the quality of dynamic range ( my brain is exploded off the ceiling) so good. no blown out spots at all. incredible. if you need quality this camera is for you. one thing i wish is that the small viewfinder that attaches on the back is included *would be nice if it was* seems pricey to add considering what you pay for this camera. i considered the c300iii but wanted the full frame and glad i did. i use the c300iii for work and now have the c500ii and in my opinion the quality makes up for the price difference.

First - if you are considering this camera you are already a professional or similar. That siad, it is an excellent camera and in my opinion the best choice.

Pros:
Canon family of lenses - all autofocus.
Great looking images right out of the box
Selectable sensor size and full sensor imaging allows use of Canon's 11-20mm and 14 or 16-35mm lenses in their full capacity.
So easy to hold for hand held work I took my Zacuto rig off and there it sits. Just enough stabilization in camera to mske it work. Now I am flexible again in space, i can shoot low to high in seconds.
Many accessories make customization easy. I use a Wooden Battery plate. This adds 3 D taps for my Zacuto Gratical eyepiece, wireless receivers, tentacles, or a light.
Audio system has been updated. XLR inputs are now on the body and the audio menu lets you select whatever you need.
Touch sreen focus works well.
You can super crop the image to Super 16. This allows you to cheat telephoto shots in a pinch.
CFast Express cards are cheap enough - roughly 500$ for 513gb. So 160 minutes of 4k/ card.
I don't push the limits of 4k/6k but I have no doubts there. Because it is the same Codec as C300 mk ii those cameras exactly match.

Cons
You will need a viewfinder. Monitor not bright enough for outside, not positioned for handheld.
Canon's 18-80 zoom vignettes full frame till 45mm - so it has to be shot Super35. The 17-120 lens too heavy for more than a shot or two handheld.
Does not come with power supply.

I now have a lightweight full sensor camera with the full stable of Canon lenses. Great picture. No color shifting with the lenses. Full wide. Super tight. Auto focus of course. Excellent blacks. Tolerable 100ire blowouts (not as pretty as 5D). Relatively cheap. Compact. Will not be obsolete for 10 years. Solidly built. Well balanced. Easy to customize. Luckily for me I had the viewfinder and lenses. Great camera. Those who know know and those who don't don't.
