The Kamerar Top Handle & HDMI Clamp for Honu Video Cage is designed to work with the Honu v2.0 Video Cage for GH3/GH4 and Sony A7/A7r/A7s. The top handle features multiple 1/4"-20 threaded and pass-through holes casted out of aluminum. These holes can be used to add more small accessories onto your cage.

The HDMI screws onto the side of the cage and clamps down on the HDMI cable plugged into the GH3/GH4 or A7/A7r/A7s. Once it is clamped onto the HDMI, it will prevent the cable from being accidentally pulled out or bent, protecting your camera's HDMI input.

Solid build, intuitive design, and worth every penny. At first glance it seems a little expensive for a piece of machined metal. I put my BMD P4k in and was wowed by it having attachment points on both the top and bottom. You could realistically swing this around in circles with your arm at full strength and it would still feel solid. When I hold it from the top handle with a LUMIX 18-35 on the camera its well balanced. Between the IOS in the lens and the precision balance of the cage, handheld shooting is about as smooth as it gets. It also solves the problem of needing an extra QR plate to offset it for use on a gimbal (the camera doesnt fit on most of the popular single handle gimbals because of the wide form factor). I take the top handle off when I mount it on a Moza Air and it works great. This is definitely a piece of gear that is worth the seemingly steep price. I will not need another cage for this camera for the duration of its life. 5

For the money I can't complain much. I don't find the top handle that useful so I think that could have been an add on and lowered the price even more. Same with the wooden handle, don't need it so would have liked the option to buy without it. The only alternative for cameras with a battery grip is the much more expensive Wooden Camera/Manfrotto tall cage, so I am still very happy with this cage and it's amazing value. 5
