This 10.75' Avenger Sliding Leg C-Stand features chrome-plated steel construction and a 3-section column with 2 risers. The innovative design of the base allows the individual legs to be set at any angle allowing positioning in locations not possible with classic stands. One of the legs slides along the center column to accommodate uneven terrain. The legs fold flat for easy storage.

A: This is not an accurate title, as the majority of this stand is chrome plated steel. The only parts that are aluminum are the collars on each riser.

Q: 3. What transport case is recommended for these since the legs don't detach?

A: C stands with permanent legs not a turtle base are an issue for travel. The stand is about about 53 inches x 22 inches. B&H does not carry a case that large. The C stands with legs that come off are much smaller in the width. Those types give you some case options.

Q: 4. Will the Matthews Pin with Collar - 6" also work with this stand?

A: Yes a Matthews 6" Pin with Collar can fit the grip head in this Avenger kit.

A: This version of the stand is made of aluminum.

Q: 6. Can the 40 arm hold a Mola Setti and Strobe?

A: Hi Sean,I use the 40 arm to hold a 22 Mola Demi on an Einstein strobe. The Avenger stand and arms are built like tanks, so I unless your strobe weighs a ton, I can't imagine the arm or clamp would be challenged. Don't forget sandbags for the base if the arm is extended. Best regards.

A: The functionality is virtually identical. Cosmetically, the black will scratch more readily.

A: This stand is painted black which holds up pretty well. I have only had issues of it scratching off were I tighten the screw to mount the light

I needed a light stand I could put on my desk to support a ring light for my zoom calls. The legs were too long on everything I looked at - until I found this. Even though the stubby legs make it impractical to put anything on it with significant weight that isn't perfectly centered it is perfect for what I was looking for. And it is the sturdiest Light Stand/Tripod I own. Super overkill for what I need - but those stubby legs! 5

There are precious few short but strong stands, and I'm guessing that this is about the strongest of the lot. The lazy leg is, as noted in other reviews, has minimal travel but with this small a leg-span stability is vital so that small adjustment could come in handy. I wish some innovation could be applied to making short stands with both height adjustment and longer legs/wider span/more stability. I frequently want to position a sizable soft box close to the floor and end up having to contrive support. 5
