A: They are fairly bright and, unless you are lighting a very large space, would probably work fine. Certainly direct light from them would give quite a high noon glare -- but your actors wouldn't appreciate staring into these things -- so use the umbrellas!!

A: I agree. The lights get really hot, but fortunately I don't need to move mine. They do a great job of illuminating the 24 x 36 art work that I was wanting to photograph.

These work great for Lowel lights. They are constructed well and serve its purpose. Use it as a broad fill with an Omni or Pro Light 5

This is the perfect, inexpensive umbrella you need for ANY Lowel light you buy. Tota-lights and the Pro-Light are best. Lightweight, so it won't tip over your light stand and attaches to any Lowel lights' built in bracket. I use whenever I just want that little bit of softness on my subject. 5

Nowhere as good as a real soft light box, but when you need to you can shoot through this to produce s similar effect. I use with my Lowel Omni. 5

Lowels Tota-brellas are a quick EASY way to convert any hard-sourced light into a nice soft fill in a snap. Small to pack, easy to use makes these a MUST HAVE in the lighting kit IMHO. The fact they are stupidly cheap only adds to the allure. In these days of $200+ softlight fixtures, $ is a BARGAIN.Down side, if you can call it, is you need to be sure fixtures have some means to attach the umbrella stem on. 5

It fits the lowell stand for a tota-light, slips in and you twist the knob, it is secure, easy. Umbrella does close and there is a semi-permanent vinyl case to put it in. 5
