The Pelican 1610 Case with Foam Set (Black) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment. It is made of ultra-high impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring, 4 easy-open double throw latches that seal perfectly. It has a built-in automatic pressure equalization valve for changes in altitude or temperature. The case uses stainless steel hardware and has padlock protectors to provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft. It is carried by 3 comfortable rubber over-molded haul handles, a retractable handle and built-in wheels.

A: The cases I bought came with a 1 flat foam on the bottom, a 1 1/2 egg carton convoluted foam for the lid, and the rest of the case was filled with 3 thick pick and pluck foam. The deeper your model case is, the more pick and pluck you get. It really is a good deal.

Q: 8. How do I get the foam to shape to my camera?

A: The foam is made up of pick and pluck small squares of foam loosely connected. You pluck out the squares to conform to the shape of your camera. With solid foam you can use an electric knife to shape the foam.

A: One Astra 6x would physically fit but I would not attempt this. You would have only 1/2 an inch on two sides for padding. Two would not work at all.
