The MD-N01 Battery Grip from Ziv is designed specifically for the Nikon D500 DSLR camera and accepts one Nikon EN-EL15 battery. With one battery in the grip and one in the camera, your shooting time is effectively doubled. The MD-N01 can also hold and utilize eight AA batteries. A: I recently purchased the Bg-N17 for the D500 and have now tested it for over a week. I am not entirely sure as to the structural integrity of the grip when it comes to Black Rapid straps, however I can say that the grip attachment to the camera itself is rock solid. I may recommend testing the strap of choice and the camera-grip combo, but I think it should work fine.
