Expand your Movcam wireless lens control system with the MD-I Iris Motor Drive Module to enable wireless adjustment of your lens' iris by connecting to a compatible lens motor. The MD-I stacks right onto the separate MRS-1 Receiver Module for a scalable, yet unified solution depending on the number of axes required. The compact form factor of the expanded system won't bulk up smaller rigs. If using the separately available MCS-1 hand unit, the system can be further expanded with the MD-Z to assemble a full 3-axis FIZ control system. The MD-I is compatible with the same Movcam and 3rd party motors as the MRS-1 main unit.

Note: MD-I module will only respond to iris demands from the controller and will not interface with other modules. A full FIZ system requires the MRS-1, MD-I, and MD-Z units.

A: We know of no handles that can directly attach to different manufacturer's cages. There are of course many that can fit to a 15mm rod and camera base system. However, if you can consider another brand, there are built in handles. The Varavon ARMOR II Pro Cage for Sony a7S, even though it is not available yet, would be a great choice. The Vidpro CA-SA7 Aluminum Camera Cage is an other while the CAME-TV ILCE-7S Cage for Sony a7S has dual handles.

A: We're afraid not. This matte box does not offer height adjustments.

A: The Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens's outside diameter is 105.13mm. According to Movcam, they do not have an adapter that will fit that and their mattebox. While we do not have an adapter that is exactly the right size, we can suggest this one that might work. Birns & Sawyer 114-105mm Clamp Reducer Ring B&H # BIRR105. If this does not work, then you would have to go with a 15mm LWS and the Movcam Universal Stretch Donut (144 mm) B&H # MOARU144.

Q: 4. Will this cage also fit the G9?

A: This cage is fitted only to the GH5. Unfortunately G9 has different specifications.

Q: 5. How does one deal with the focus in the rangefinder using this adapter?

A: As the FotodioX Minolta MD/MC Pro Lens Adapter does not have electronic contacts, and does not transmit information from the lens to the camera, autofocus is not possible when using this adapter. You will have to focus manually when using a manual-focus Minolta MD/MC mount lens on a Leica M-mount camera.

A: Yes, there are 3 1/4 mounts on the bottom of the cage. Don't hesitate, you'll love it!

A: Sorry, not there is not a way to configure with a grip.

A: The Aputure Iris for Spotlight Max is specific for the Spotlight Max. And does not work in other models.
