A: Yes it will. There is one X-Drop frame (Westcott Part #570X) and both the 5x7 and 5x12 work with that frame.

A: It's an approximation but the stand is fairly wide when extended. I'd say about a 4 foot square area required. I allow min 4 feet to the subject and another 4 or 5 to the camera. I typically tell clients that for shooting the head and shoulders type work I do, that I need an area about 16 feet by 8 feet to allow for the green screen setup and a few lights. The other thing you should know is that it is fairly lightly constructed. Handled with care it's fine but it likely wouldn't survive some serious man handling. I've used this in travel shoots about 15 times now and it's served me very well.
