This Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder Kit is designed to allow for the convenient use of up to three separately available 100mm wide, 2mm thick filters, along with a separately available circular polarizer filter on a lens with 82mm front filter threads. This kit includes a Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder as well as a Wine Country Camera 100 x 100mm Filter Vault and a Wine Country Camera 100 x 150mm Filter Vault. Those two Wine Country Camera filter vaults, which are each designed to encase the edges of one separately available, 100 x 100mm, 2mm thick filter and one separately available 100 x 150mm, 2mm thick filter respectively, for use within the filter holder. By encasing the sides of an installed filter, these filter vaults each help to eliminate or limit stray light, which could have unwanted effects on exposure, from coming in between an installed filter, as well as the filter holder and the lens behind it. When used with either of a Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder's two outer slots, an integrated safety-catch system prevents a filter vault from accidentally sliding out of the filter holder.

Installation of a compatible filter within a Wine Country Camera filter vault is accomplished by first turning the filter vault's brass, Wine Coin lock into the open position. After being fitted onto the adapter ring, the filter holder's brass locking knob helps to provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to be rotated 360°, further benefiting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. Additionally, adapter rings are separately available for lenses with 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, or 86mm front filter threads.

The Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder also accommodates a separately available drop-in circular polarizer filter. That filter is mounted within a geared aluminum-alloy filter ring, and it is made specifically to fit between a Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder and a Wine Country Camera filter holder adapter ring during use. An external knob on the filter holder integrates with the geared filter ring, allowing for the independent rotation of a circular polarizer filter in order to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect. Utilizing aluminum-alloy components for durability while remaining lightweight, the Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder also features rosewood accents over its outer slots. A: We could not find a lens cap for the Wine Country Camera filter holder. We know of no cap for the other larger filter holders either. Please know it does have a protective pouch when transporting. However, I do hear you. I have been in situations where I want to have at least moisture or dust protection while sitting or doing a short move to another set up. In these situations, I would suggest using disposable shower caps which are available at your local drug store or your next motel overnight stay.

Q: 5. I often use wide angles, between 16-24mm for long exposures using a ND filter. My current Tiffen 82mm variable ND filter will show vignetting. Will it be less so, or non existent with this system..Is it wide enough?
