Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.

After having use many low quality Videographer Vests i decide it was time to get a Pro Vest to carry the so many littles items a Cameraman need so often. PortaBrace is Expensive but the quality is well above the others i can tell you don't waste your money on cheap stuff this one will live longer , so strong too. All pockets are in the best places with the correct sizes with many of them also.

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that these gloves were well above my expectations - everything about them had a well-thought-out solid design. The materials they use feel great, have a rugged exterior design, and will certainly keep your hands warm. If you're looking for that extra warmth boost though, you can also tuck away some hand warmers into the zipper compartment in each of the gloves. Compared to other photo gloves, this brand is in a completely different league when it comes to build quality.

Another thing I'd like to mention is that I used Vallerret's size guide for a small and they fit incredibly well - not too tight and not too baggy. I've seen others saying that you should always go a size up although if you just use their sizing guide it should get you the best fit possible; honestly no need to go a size up.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with these gloves and can't wait to start shooting with them!

This vest is perfect for videographers, photographers, and even audio technicians who need to transport a lot of equipment on the go without a bag. Let me make this clear: there are a TON of pockets that exist on all parts of the vest, including the inside. The massive front pockets can easily store spare battery packs, camera lenses, and recording devices, while the smaller ones on top can hold memory cards, mobile phones, adapters, and etc. As evident by product pictures, there is also a giant pocket in the back which can hold long cables and even your lunch! The advantage of using this vest for occasions such as hikes is that you can avoid the back strain due to a heavy backpack. If you carry a lot of trinkets during your job and like to be spatially aware of where you store them, this vest is perfect for you.Aside from the technical uses, this vest is incredibly durable and stylish (even more so than from the product images). Porta Brace is known for its high quality bags and this vest is no exception because it feels sturdy like kevlar and will support moderately heavy equipment without stress. Furthermore, it looks very professional even for a job at a wedding because you can show off your business cards in the front pocket and it contrasts a white dress shirt well.Overall, this product is a huge step up from having to use bags or backpacks to carry equipment and can really help in turning a 2 man job to a 1 man job. With all your equipment within arm's reach, capturing those perfect videos or photographs will be much easier! The bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend this product!

This vest has a huge number of pockets that fit a variety of gear. The two large front pockets are great for keeping DSLR lenses of decent size. The vest is made of a tough yet not rough fabric, and the double netting ventilation on the back of breaths well and feels as sturdy as the rest of the vest. The large back pocket is perfect for a rain bag for your camera or a poncho for yourself.

First of all, this is a working vest made out of Cordura. Other vests for sale are very stylish and the pockets are all nice and flat (cause there is nothing in them) and you can wear it out to dinner and tell great stories and have the look. This vest is like having your 'kit' all ready to go. Use it on ENG as it has everything I need plus huge! front pockets. It even has commercial grade hanging loop on the outer back. It hangs up in the studio or the van - slip it on and I have what I need. Functional is the operative word here - not dinner-wear.
