The Wooden Camera Ultra Arm Ball with a cold shoe is part of the Ultra Arm lineup. It is a replacement component that allows you to mount an accessory with a cold shoe mounting foot onto an Ultra Arm such as the Double Ball Clamp or third-party 25mm ball mount articulating arms. The 1" diameter ball features a rubber ring around the circumference that helps the clamp hold the ball and its payload in place when tightened. The cold shoe has a pin to ensure your accessory does not slide thought the shoe, which is attached to the ball using a slotted screw.

I've got a number of odds and ends to put things together and they all have their limits. This is very versatile and takes more weight then most of my other 'connectors'. The primary reason I got this is to hold my monitor. Ball heads, etc, either cant hold the weight, or can't maneuver it well enough. This does!

Unlike most other things like this that can move around, or bend on its own weight, this you set it and forget it. I trust this more but it does require 2 hands to make adjustments. One to support the thing, and the other to tighten it.

Lots of mounting holes, not much bulk added to the camera, pretty light weight. I like the grip I have on my camera now.

GOOD ONE

I bought this to replace a cheap head on a small stand for my camera. This one is a lot better. When the ball is locked the weight of the camera does not cause it to swift or change position. The shoe mount is also very useful if you need a mic or LED light added.

THis little guy has a ton of uses. Really like just having it available. I can put my display on it or microphone gear. Lots of purposes but feels like a great quality piece.
