Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What amp do you recommend for this?

A: If you are running just one sub, you can use the Crown XLi 800 in Bridged Mode, which will deliver 600 watts at 8 Ohms. If you are using two subs, consider the QSC GDX 4, which delivers 600 watts at 8 Ohms per channel. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1100330-REG/qsc_gxd_4_professional_power.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1126335-REG/crown_audio_xli800_600w_2_channel_stereo.html

Q: 2. How do I get more paging volume?

A: If you've maxed out the volume knob on the input and master output, there are few things you can look at. Consider what the speaker taps are set to, also speaker sensitivity has a direct impact on how loud the speaker will sound. Take a look at the source. Is it mic or line? All of these things affect the level. If you've addressed these concerns, and your system isn't loud enough, chances are you may need more power; either on the speaker side, or the amp side.

Q: 3. Hello Can i control the volume of each zone or set of speakers separately Can i send different music to different zones Thanks

A: To control the volume of each zone, you need to have a separate volume control unit connected to each zone. You can selectively turn on and off zones from the amplifier but you cannot create different mixes for each zone.

Q: 4. Do you connect a tuner or cd player to the RCA connectors?

A: Yes, via terminal block or RCA jack.

Q: 5. Can this sub be paired outdoors with the TOA HX-5W-WP Mini Line Array?

A: The TOA FB-120B 12" 600W Subwoofer can be paired with the TOA HX-5W Variable Dispersion Line Array Speaker, but these speakers are intended indoor use. They are not weather-proof or weather-resistant.

Q: 6. How to install this amp?

A: Here is some very useful and important information (taken from page 4 of the owner's manual) regarding the installation process of this amplifier.1) Install the equipment rack on a stable, hard floor. Fix it with anchor bolts or take other arrangements to prevent it from falling down. 2) When connecting the unit's power cord to an AC outlet, use the AC outlet with current capacity allowable to the unit.3) No rack-mounting screws are supplied with the unit. Separately prepare the appropriate screws for the rack.4) Keep the amplifier over 10 cm (3.94 ) away from objects that may obstruct airflow to prevent the unit's internal temperature rise.

Q: 7. I'm not getting any signal. Anything I can do?

A: That doesn't give me much to go on. What modules do you have installed? What are you using for a source? Is the unit powering on? Did you check the fuses? What are you using it for? I don't know if you are a newbie or a audio professional, so I don't really know where to start. I'm not an audio pro myself, but did install one of these recently, so, if you can give me as much information as you can maybe I can help you out.

Q: 8. Are the XLR modules included?

A: XLR modules are not included with the Toa Electronics A-912MK2. They can be found here: https://bhpho.to/40gEUzM

Q: 9. Where is the AUX port to hook up to a mobile device to stream music?

A: Line 2 and Line 3 inputs have RCA style inputs as well as bare wire.

Q: 10. Is this considered a multi zone unit, but how can it be when there is only one output speaker?

A: This Amp is considered 3 inputs and one output. The 3 inputs are: One Microphone, second selectable Mic/Line, the third is a line level. The output is one you have the choice of using 4 Ohm, 25V, or 70V, on 25 and 70V you can use multiple speakers 70V rated in a daisy chain configuration, as long as you don't exceed the 35W limit of the Amp.

Used to the built in grips from my previous Canon 1Dx's from the last 9 years. So this was a no brainer. Feels like a smaller 1Dx now. Pricey however.

Purchased it for my R5C. Fits well on the hybrid camera, I have big hands, so it was essential for me, not to mention that it adds an extra battery to the R5C. Balances well with the R5C!

I have really large hands, so a battery grip is a must for me. I bought the Canon grip because it was available at the time, even though it's a more expensive product. The grip is a quality product, which is what we expect from a company like Canon. The battery grip feels good in tour hands and keeps the controls readily accessible, thus making vertical shots easier to accomplish.

Frankly, I don't think I would ever get another camera that doesn't have the larger body with vertical grip, or a battery grip accessory as part of my kit. For one, I do a lot of professional video production, so having the extra battery capacity is critical. I'm using this on the Canon R5 C now, but I'm coming from a lot of heavy use with the 1DX mkII, and the 5D mkIV, so I want that battery life reliability I got with the full-body/large capacity battery (1DX), and battery grip (5D) that I got with those. There's not a lot to say other than it seems to stay tight against the body of the camera. I've used third party grips on other cameras and sometimes that screw gets a little loose, and the tightening wheel doesn't seem to be your friend. The build quality and reliability (so far, after a few weeks) is exactly what I would expect from Canon. I probably won't remove it from the camera unless I'm using the R5 on a gimbal.
