This B2-LLR-II Lever-Release Clamp from Really Right Stuff is compatible with most Arca-type camera plates, camera bars, and multi-purpose rails. The jaws of the clamp open wide for plates to be top-loaded quickly and easily.

The locking lever release is opened or closed by only using finger force, and once the clamp is locked down onto the plate, it has a holding power of up to 50 lb. At the top of the clamp it features three counter-sunk sockets. The center socket has female 3/8"-16 threads and it accepts metric 6 and 1/4"-20 threaded screws via a bushing adapter when mounting to a ball head stem. Two additional 1/4"-20 threaded holes are spaced 45mm apart from the center socket.

The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum clamp has a black anodized Type II finish. Index marks are laser-engraved on both sides of the clamp so a position can be repeated reliably. The stainless-steel locking-lever has a low profile, and the lever hugs the side of the clamp very closely, so it is very unlikely to snag onto clothing or something else in the field. The clamp has a built-in bull's-eye spirit level, which keeps your camera leveled in a horizontal plane.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this replace the top of my Arca P0 Monoball? And if so how do you control the rotation? (the current plate has a screw to adjust tension on the rotation. thanks

A: yes you can replace the top with this unit

Q: 2. Does the 80mm version fit on the MH-01 head?

A: Yes both clamps can work on the Really Right Stuff Monopod Head, MH-01.

Q: 3. Will this clamp fit on another brand Ball Head I have a Sirui?

A: I mounted mine to a FLM ballhead using the provided 3/8 to 1/4 x20. Works great

Q: 4. what are the proper dimensions for the plate that can go on this?

A: The Really Right Stuff B2-LLR-II Lever-Release Clamp works best with RRS plates that are 2.9" or longer.

Q: 5. Will this clamp fit on the Sacheler Ace M sliding plate?

A: Yes, the Really Right Stuff B2-LLR-II Lever-Release Clamp will fit on the Sacheler Ace M sliding plate.

Q: 6. I have a RRS BH55 ballhead with the 60mm LR (B2-AS II LR) plate on it now. I am contemplating buying the 80mm LR plate for the ballhead for use with my longer lenses and also for the extra locking length on my night sky and long exposure photography. I know this will fit, but I am assuming I will need the 3/8-1/4 reducing bushing to mount this plate to my ballhead stem? Will the interior threading of the bushing interfere with the mounting screw? The plates that come on this ballhead have unthreaded center mounting holes so the mounting screw just drops thru.

A: This clamp use a bolt that screws in and typically screws to the stem of a ball head. You will have to figure out what the thread size of your ball stem is and correctly match the head of the bolt to sit into the countersunk hole of the clamp. The center socket has female 3/8"-16 threads and it accepts metric 6 and 1/4"-20 threaded screws via a bushing adapter. If your head takes a 3/8"-16 bolt, that would be ideal, otherwise you would need a reducer.

Q: 7. will this rrs 80mm fit on my silkballhead 800?

A: You would need a Reducer Bushing to make it work Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing B&H # OB1039

Q: 8. Will these clamps open and close if put on a large flat base (larger that the entire clamp)? Its hard to tell in the pics if the moving part of the clamp is stepped up from the rest of the bottom allowing it to move freely or if this is just for a stem attachment. I have the RRS TA-LB lever release clamp but that has a solid bottom covering the entire clamp, even underneath the moving part.. it appears that this one doesn't have that.

A: Yes, it will still open and close on a larger base. The clamp goes to the bottom but it is slightly curved near the clamp to allow for movement.

Q: 9. The centre hole accepts a 3/8-16 post. What is the maximum length of that post, before it protrudes through the top & interferes with the clamp?

A: It is 12mm thick

Q: 10. Hello, will this clamp fit on my Oben BZ-226T ballhead ? Thank you

A: Yes if you just use an allen/hex key to unscrew the plate on the ball head, then you could replace it with this RRS B2-LLR-II.

It has not happened to me, however to has to my photography friend.
I have become aware, that having too many screws on my tripod and ball head !
If I make just one wrong turn on the wrong screw you risk having your camera and lens fall off your set up .
This clamp will save your equipment. Why because you must release the lever, too release your equipment from your mounting device. Completely safe and secure with no Knobs to turn. If you value your equipment please purchase this excellent product from RRS. You will be at ease.

I purchased this to replace a tilt head RRS. The tilt head found found very few uses cases but I still like the clamp. I use this with a 400mm and 600mm.

Locks up solid, really like the two stop lever release, so you can drop an item on, or when set halfway, you have to slide it off. Keeps from having something just fall off.

Very nicely designed and manufactured product. I used it to replace my Manfrotto proprietary designed clamp. This RRS clamp let me obtain a better balance of my equipment on my tripod by sliding the ARCA plate to the right position. It is pricey because it made in the USA, but I don't mind supporting good companies developing clever products than buying knock-off products from China.

Very nice piece of equipment. B&H did a better job getting this to me, than the OEM themselves. For some reason, there always seems to be a problem with RRS and their shipping. Thanks again B&H for service beyond compare.

This is my first RRS purchase. I read all the hype, listened to the thespians, and read all the glitz, glam, and google. So I ordered from the most dependable source (prior experience says so). Wow. Now I get to do all the aforementioned. Cannot imagine a better made Arca Swiss base clamp. Smooth to the touch and operation; strong in every way; darn thing's surface finish is near-sensual! But most of all it most assuredly fulfills my need and then some.

Another excellent clamp from RRS. Yes, they are expensive but are very well designed and will not fall apart over time. Something to bear in mind when you attach a pricey long telephoto...

For thirty-odd years I've used various Bogen/Manfrotto and Gitzo tripods & monopods...each with their own variation of a quick release system. Those variations aren't a huge problem...so long as the gear chosen for the shoot is using the same QR plates & clamps. If not, then they're anything BUT quick and no different than simply attaching the camera directly to the tripod/monopod. Kinda defeats the purpose to my mind.

Enter Really Right Stuff and their Arca-Swiss compatible gear.
This thing is beautifully made and TRULY quick...without the need to change plates every other shoot. EVERY tripod/monopod/camera/lens is now being converted to the Arca-Swiss style...and so far everything is coming from Really Right Stuff. The quality, fit & finish is outstanding.
