Precisely machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum, the Really Right Stuff LCF-53 Foot will replace the original foot of a Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM lens with internal 1.4x teleconverter or a version II 400mm, 500mm, or 600mm IS USM lens and provides an extremely durable and stable platform for your lens. The foot incorporates an Arca-type compatible dovetail that allows users to enjoy a lower profile and lighter setup. The bottom of the foot features a standard 1/4"-20 accessory thread, while an integrated strap lug is available at the front. Additionally, the foot comes with two safety-stop screws to prevent the foot from accidentally sliding out of some clamps and it is made in the USA.

I installed it on my 500mm and it works perfect, Elimimates the need for an adapter plate between the camera foot and the tripod head. Easy to install even comes with tpols 5

The best kind of gear is the kind you never have to worry about. It just works. This Really Right Stuff Arca Swiss foot for the Canon 500mm f/4 lens is beautifully made and functions perfectly. It's even nice to look at. Changing it out from the original Canon foot was easy. It's more stable than adding a plate to the original foot and it will last forever. I will never have to think about it again and that's perfect. 5

I wanted a Really Right Stuff (RRS) foot for a newly acquired Canon 100-300mm lens. RRS does not have a lens foot specifically designed for that lens but Internet postings indicate the LCF-53 does work. I decided to give it a try and am beyond happy with how I perceive it to fit. 5
