Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The tripod and the BC-18 ball head both have a male stud, so how to they fit together?

A: The tripod base has a female 1/4"-20, and the BC-18 Micro ball head has a 1/4"-20 male, so they screw right together.

Q: 2. Why is this more expensive than TFA-01 Basic?

A: This combination includes the BH25 ball head which is perfectly sized for this tripod. You can buy both components separately for the same price.

Q: 3. Has anybody used this with the BH 30 ballhead?

A: BH-25 fits perfectly.I tried BH-30 also - it fits OK but... BH-30 has slightly larger base dia.

Q: 4. Does this tripod have a bubble level?

A: No, it does not. But add something like this and you'll be able to level your camera: Vello Low Profile Bubble Level BH #VEBLHS1 https://bhpho.to/39PKbp6

Q: 5. Does it have a 1/4-20 socket at the bottom of the dove tail so it can be used with a standard tripod as well?

A: It has two 1/4"-20 standard threaded holes.

Q: 6. is this TFA-01 Basic or Ultra?

A: Hi--that's the Ultra Pocket Pod.

Q: 7. What is the actual base diameter? Was wondering if my RRS BH-55 Ball Head with Lever-Release Panning Clamp (2.9 base diameter) might work w this ultra pocket pod even if it looks to be slightly wide.

A: I have a RRS BH-55 ball head. I put it on my pocket pod and it does indeed function the same as if it were on a larger tripod. As was already stated, even with the legs fully deployed, they do not touch the bottom of the BH-55 ball head.

Q: 8. Is the base Arca-Swiss compatible?

A: Yes, the base of the Really Right Stuff Mobile Phone Clamp with Pocket Stand would be compatible for use with tripod heads that use an Arca-type clamp.

Q: 9. Does does this tripod compare to the:FEISOL TT-15 Mark 2 Mini Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod?

A: Both tripods are very well made. The Frisol tripod is larger with much thicker legs. The RRS is smaller and folds smaller for travel. If you need a compact travel tripod for lighter cameras, the RRS is a great choice. If you're looking for a compact tripod that is slightly bigger and will hold more weight, I'd recommend the Feisol tripod. Both permit the legs to be adjusted to multiple angles.

Q: 10. Does the “Really Right Stuff Clamp With Plain Jaw & Pocket Clamp” have a dovetail base that will fit in RRS quick release clamps? I can’t tell from the images.

A: Yes, the foot of the pocket stand can be folded and the pocket stand will then fit a standard dovetail clamp.

To start off all of my gear to support my cameras and lenses are from Really Right Stuff. My first use was for a time lapse sun set on Sanibel Island this past week. Mounted it to my TVC-33 tripod with a Quick release lever clamp easy to change how I mount my IPhone 15 pro max. Time lapse was perfect did the sun rise the next day. This product is built like the rest of the their products. The jaws are padded for no marring on your phone. Does it cost more than most phone clamp absolutly however you will have this phone clamp for many years. It’s not for those who want to spend less than $30 . If you are the person who wants well built long lasting product this is the phone mount . RRS products are so well engineered smooth operation a hex key is included and is attached to the mount with a magnet as well as 1/4” x 20 mounting sockets. Again when you first pick it up out of the box you can feel and see the build quality. Made in America RRS quality B & H fast accurate shipping arrived in perfect shape. Both RRS and B&H excellent companies
