The 4 x Gear Set for CLM-4 Motor from ARRI includes 0.8, 0.6, 0.5, and 0.4-mod drive gears for use with a CLM-4 lens control motor. One metal gear flange (core) is included for swapping between the gears (additional flanges available separately). The 0.8-mod gear is compatible with most cine-style lenses; use the 0.6, 0.5, and 0.4-mod gears with select ENG-style lenses.

A: Modules (MOD) are equal to the pitch diameter divided by the number of teeth in a single gear. The Teradek RT Motor Gear (0.8-Mod Wide, 32-Pitch) which has a 0.8 MOD has a 32-pitch.

Earlier this year I purchased a Heden M21VE dual pin motor and 2 of these gears in different pitches. These additional gears fit a 64 pitch (0.4 MOD) and 48 pitch (0.5 MOD) lens rings. The gear that comes with the motor (0.8 MOD) works with a 32 pitch lens ring. Also, make sure you use these with the correct motor. The larger motors require a larger diameter shaft and will not work with these gears. Conversely, the larger shaft dual pin gears will not work with the M21VE motor (I learned this lesson the hard way). 5

Earlier this year I purchased a Heden M21VE dual pin motor and 2 of these gears in different pitches. These additional gears fit a 64 pitch (0.4 MOD) and 48 pitch (0.5 MOD) lens rings. The gear that comes with the motor (0.8 MOD) works with a 32 pitch lens ring. The Heden motors and gears are very convenient in that the different gears can be changed quickly and easily for different pitches on lenses (examples are 32, 48, 64 pitch). They also attach to either side of the motor. Also, make sure you use these with the correct motor. The larger motors require a larger diameter shaft and will not work with these gears.
