    Related Questions and Answers

    Q: 1. Is there a quality case/bag for the tripod and BH-25?

A: Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Ultra Pocket Pod and BH-25 LR Ball Head Package is 8.6'' high. The smallest tripod case Really Right Stuff makes is Really Right Stuff Compact Tripod Bag which is 19''. The smaller tripod cases are made by Oben B&H # OBTB05 (11'') and Mefoto BH #MEMF933 (12.5").

Q: 2. Does does this tripod compare to the:FEISOL TT-15 Mark 2 Mini Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod?

A: Both tripods are very well made. The Frisol tripod is larger with much thicker legs. The RRS is smaller and folds smaller for travel. If you need a compact travel tripod for lighter cameras, the RRS is a great choice. If you're looking for a compact tripod that is slightly bigger and will hold more weight, I'd recommend the Feisol tripod. Both permit the legs to be adjusted to multiple angles.

Q: 3. Is there a recommended carrying case?

A: The following padded wrap will assist when traveling with the unit. Domke 19x19" Color Coded Protective Wrap (Black) https://bhpho.to/3DvAlHC

Q: 4. How does this compare to the GorillaPod?

A: The Gorillapod would have a base plate that is less wide, but it would offer the ability to wrap its legs onto a rounded surface. The TFA-01 can only work on flat or slightly uneven surface when the legs are tilted.

Q: 5. Could this (Really Right Stuff Pod QD Collar for Series 4 Tripods) be used on Gitzo Series 4 tripods?

A: This collar is designed to fit on Series 4 tripods from Really Right Stuff. It seems to be too wide to fit on the Gitzo Series 4 legs. If you want to attach a strap to your Gitzo Series 4 tripod, there are other options that will fit, such as the Gitzo GC5210 (B&H# GIGC5210), Oben TS-20 (B&H# OBTS20), Oben TS-200 (B&H# OBTS200), or OP/TECH Tripod Strap which comes in two colors (B&H# OPSTN for Nature Color or B&H# OPTSB for Black). You can view our selection by typing Tripod Straps in the search field at the top of our website.

Q: 6. Will these also work with the RRS series three monopod MC34?

A: Yes it will work with the MC34.

Q: 7. The tripod and the BC-18 ball head both have a male stud, so how to they fit together?

A: The tripod base has a female 1/4"-20, and the BC-18 Micro ball head has a 1/4"-20 male, so they screw right together.

Q: 8. Why is this more expensive than TFA-01 Basic?

A: This combination includes the BH25 ball head which is perfectly sized for this tripod. You can buy both components separately for the same price.

Q: 9. Has anybody used this with the BH 30 ballhead?

A: BH-25 fits perfectly.I tried BH-30 also - it fits OK but... BH-30 has slightly larger base dia.

Q: 10. In highlights it says the load capacity is 8.8 pounds and in the specs it says it is 15 pounds?

A: That's the load capacity for the BH-25 LR Ball Head. The tripod itself is rated to hold 15 pounds. If you get a compatible head with a higher load capacity you should be able to reach that 15 pound load.

Easy to install and works perfect on my series 3 tripod. This makes it much easier to carry the tripod while hiking a short distance. Keeps my hands free.

I lost one of the claw feet and had to order another set. They are really heavy duty with 1/4 inch (most others are 1/8 inch). They grip great on my Maine rocky granite coast.

Surprisingly very sturdy for its size, bought for macro and travel. Weighs little of nothing.

These feet give a stronger grip of the legs of my tripod under uneven surface conditions for a much more stable feel to my tripod. Beautifully machined and finished they also maintain the waterproof quality of my tripod due to the rubber gasket that is built in to the design; this makes using my tripod in riverbeds much more stable and worry free.

I had a previous version of this pocket tripod which did not have locking legs. This new version has a straight forward way of locking the legs at different angles. Ideal for photography of small flowers and mushrooms.
