Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with any motorized device?

A: This slider does not work with any motor that I know of, and definitely not the E-Image Motor1, due to the belt being oriented in a different manner from other sliders. The belt orientation gives the slider extra travel distance when using the center bottom plate for mounting, and a motor would drastically unbalance the slider when mounted that way.

Q: 2. Can this unit be motorized? Is the rail an IGUS 1080 or similar?

A: I motorized mine DIY style for $25 with a Celstron low rpm motor.

Q: 3. We lost the mounting hex screws for the feet. Can someone who owns this let me know the size of those screws? (Length and thread size)

A: I will try to determine that for you. Might take me a few days. That being said - Would be a lot easier for you to take the feet to Home depot and try to find a fit that way. Just go to the hardware aisle...

Q: 4. Can I mount it on a tripod?

A: Yes you can. This has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threadings in the middle and on both ends of the slider.

Q: 5. What is the maximum Weight it can support? I am using professional Panasonic.

A: This offers a 21 pound Load Capacity.

Q: 6. Can the feet be purchased separately? I already have the slider.

A: For additional feet, please contact the distributor directly. info@gradusgroup.com.

Q: 7. Is this mountable to most tripods?

A: Yes, this slider will have 1/4 20 and 3/8 holes for mounting on a vast variety of tripods.

Q: 8. Can I mount the 33 with just one tripod? I shoot with sony A7II, the heaviest lens goes on the camera would be the Sony 70-200 f4 FE lens.

A: You definitely should consider using two tripods for this.

Q: 9. How does the slide work? Is there a mechanism to move it, or do you just have to slide the camera by hand?

A: You slide it by hand. This being my forst slider Im very impressed with how it works. Also it works well with a tripod. However it would work better with 2 tripods though.

Q: 10. Is this made of aluminum?

A: Yes, this features an aluminum construction design.

Produces super smooth slides just as advertised. Plenty of setup options, and built well!

I've been considering a slider for quite some time, as I wanted to add an extra element to my videos besides the standard pans and tilts with the camera anchored to a tripod. This E-Image slider does exactly that without having to be overly large and cumbersome. So far since my purchase, I've only done some testing with it but I am extremely pleased with all aspects of this unit. It handles my 9 lb. Sony shoulder mount camera with ease and has produced some very nice moves. Like anything else, it takes practise to accomplish... and this slider makes it easy. No complaints whatsoever! I must also compliment B&H on the ease of navigation through their website... so convenient to make purchases, track delivery, etc. I have no doubt I will be a B&H customer again in the future!

I have used the expensive sliders. This slider does the same thing for a quarter of the price! I used it just this week for shooting a wedding and I love it. It is not butter smooth but it is beyond smooth enough for the price.

So far so good. I'm using this with a heavy camera (Panasonic DVX200). I had trouble at first because I was mounting this slider on top of a video head (and then another video head, Manfrotto 502, between the slider and the camera). The torque caused by this heavy load extended so far off-center was too much for the bottom head to handle. This caused a bowing effect, where the slider would droop at each extreme. I then got a half ball attachment for my tripod (Manfrotto 520BALL on a Manfrotto 546B tripod), and that improved things dramatically! That said, with such a heavy load on the slider, there is still a slight bowing when I move the camera rig to the far extremes. The slider handles the weight, but physics is physics. I doubt any center-supported slider can handle that much weight almost 15 away from the center without some degree of flexing. Still, if I apply a little upward support at the end of the slider as my camera approaches it, I can get very nice results. If your camera is lighter and you use a lighter (or no) head on top of the slider, you may not need any extra support for a nicely level camera movement. Please be realistic about the physics involved here. This slider allows you to move the camera a significant distance off center. This can cause the tripod to tip or flex no matter how solid the slider itself is. If you have a heavy camera, the slider does a very good job, but you still may need to take precautions and possibly counter-balance the rig. You will need a very sturdy tripod if you're using a heavy rig! I considered buying the Edelkrone slider, which works similar to this one. I have not compared them side-by-side, but the ES50 seems to give all the same benefits at a much lower price. I'd love to hear experiences others have had with the Edelkrone using a heavy (10+ lbs) camera rig extended 15 off center (29 total slide). Any drooping at the extremes? It's pretty minor with the ES50, but does exist.

This is the 3rd slider I have purchased and the 4th I have tried. This slider is by far the smoothest. Sliders can be very expensive but this is the best I've used. Compact with it's own carry case but almost 30 inches of travel. I use it shooting 4K video with my Fuji X-T2.
BTW it does fit on just about any tripod!!

This is for my business and it operates very smoothly. I can operate it without even having my eyes on it, I can focus on the camera only (pun intended).
