The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Detachable 3-Pin XLRM Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3-pin XLRM connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics HM, UH200d, UH400, or UH400a wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Not really sure when they say M series. I have Lectro UM200c, will this work with my transmitter?

A: Yes. Just be sure to order it wired for lectrosonics, TA5F. Nice combo. You'll live it!

Q: 2. Does it work with Sony UTX-B40?

A: Yes, this microphone was designed to be compatible with the Sony wireless systems including the UTX-B40.

Q: 3. The 3 different kinds of Hirose connection are selectable (DS, SO, and SY), and it says "see Description", yet the Description says nothing about these designations. Could you clarify?

A: Sorry for the confusion. Once you select a given connector, the second paragraph in the "overview section" will specify which transmitters they are compatible with. SN = Sony WRT-805A and UWP Series Transmitters DS = Sony DWT-B01 SO = Sony WRT-28, WRT-820A, or WRT-860A SY = Sony WRT-8B, WRT-420, or WRT-822B I hope this helps

Q: 4. Does this work on a rode link system?

A: Yes. Currently, Rode is using the same exact wiring configuration on the Rodelink that Sennheiser uses in their evolution wireless (EWG3). For this reason, the Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Microphone (B&H# COB3W5BSR) will work with the latest Rodelink Systems.

Q: 5. Compatible w. both G2 and G3 transmitters - or is there maybe issues to be aware of?

A: Works as intended. Much better than the MKE-2.

Q: 6. how long is the cable from mic to xlr connection? What is the XLR connection, male or female?

A: Countryman specs out the cable length as 5 feet.

Q: 7. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a sony uwp-d11?

A: Only if it was wired for Sony. Although the 3.5mm connector for the Sony looks like your standard jack that you see on Sennheiser systems, it is actually wired differently, and you cannot swap them for each other.

Q: 8. hi, please what is the key difference between the low and the standard sensitivity?

A: Standard sensitivity is fine for most applications. Low sensitivity is best employed with trained or very powerful vocalists or public speakers as for opera, rock church and worship.

Q: 9. Will this mic work with Tentacle Track E?

A: Yes, this mic can be used as a replacement or upgrade for the lavalier mic that comes with the Tentacle Track E digital recordee.

Q: 10. Will this MicroDot connector use with my DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip ?

A: Yes, the Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with Microdot Adapter for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters can be used with the DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip instead of using the included Microdot Adapter for Sennheiser.
